At the game Wednesday I overheard a rumour and worth sharing, not about players but about reconstruction. There was talk that the Quicks car garage on the corner near the top of the road was being bought to house the new Megastore in future.

INEOS will be upgrading the men's section of Carrington this summer. Much welcome changes.

I love these kinds of rumours, and it's a shame we don't see more of them on here anymore.

I think it's clear there will be big changes at the club over the next decade or more.

SJR has not invested a huge amount of money (with it likely that he will invest more in the future) in order to keep things as they are.

I think he sees Manchester United as his legacy, his chance to leave an indelible mark on the city he grew up in. Can he be the man who puts Manchester United back on our perch.

The rumours and from what he's said openly all sound great. Focus on youth and developing players, something that should be synonymous with the club. Focus on an entertaining style of play, again something that has been a big part of our history. Looking to redevelop Old Trafford and the surrounding area. To breathe new life into Manchester and create a stadium and facilities that are not just the envy of the rest of the country, but also that can support and reconnect the club with the local area. Somewhere for people to gather as a community, a place that offers employment opportunities, improvements in infrastructure and possibly even housing.

The club appears to be focused on buying up space around the stadium, and that almost certainly means they are gearing towards some form of redevelopment of the area. While the recent news of a task force being put together to look at and explore opportunities around the stadium just confirms this.

Personally I'd like to see a Manchester United development built up. With ideally a new stadium that will be the biggest and best in the country, a second smaller stadium for the women and youth teams to play at, hotels, food outlets, a rebuilt museum, a community centre, shops, and attractions. With well integrated sustainable infrastructure, roads, rail etc.

Somewhere for fans to gather not just for hours before and after matches, but for youth and women's games, for special events and weekly events. Somewhere that can be the hub of the Manchester United community.

Hopefully that or something closer to that is what we get. How we get there I don't know, but I have faith that SJR will push to get us something like that.

heres another 1 shappy- for quite some time we always parked in akp grounds rear of the ticket office and canal. Earlier this year got told off the attendants that "man utd had taken keys back " and stopped it and the depot from being used . Large plot in very prominent position.
