Not impressed with Tuchel taking off Kane when he did. Nobody could have foreseen Madrid scoring two such late goals but one was always a possibility and then Bayern would have needed Lanes experience to fight back.

Eth has spent circa 400m in his time at united.
How much of that spend was on the pitch last night?

Give it a rest .

08 May 2024 06:03:46
net spend of 300 and less than spurs, city, arsenal and pretty close to Liverpool. Go to transfermarkt and look at the numbers at least.

The real question if you are an adult is who started with a better squad from all the top teams two years ago and what have they spend on improving it comparative to United.

After all it was a team that needed open heart surgery according to someone. Is our spend as outlandish as you like to make it out.

Most of the players you hate and don't rate are still here. Undoing years of poor decisions takes a few years and not fixable in one or two windows.

08 May 2024 10:06:21
I don't hate any player ahmad.
Exactly my point 9 of that team were eth players. That's open heart surgery
Only 2 players from before eth
That's is the effect of his surgery.
An adult can see that and one that understands football.

08 May 2024 12:23:16
Ahmad look at the question how much of the 400m that eth spent was on the pitch for that game?
This is the result of eths spend out on the pitch.
I think martinez was missing from his buys.
He bought the keeper
Bought both cbs (albeit one is a cm)
2 midfielders and promoted the other
Bought 2 attackers promoted the other.
This is his team bar the 2 full backs.
So what have Liverpool or spurs got to do with it.
His players his vision his tactics.
Net spend 300m has nothing to do with it. These are the playersceth has chosen to lead our future.

Well that was embarrassing, I'm sure the manager will get most of the stick but boy has casemiro gone down hill so quickly. He needs to be one of the 1st out the door in the summer, may aswell have put steve mclaren in the starting line up.

Put Shteve in charge now for me.

06 May 2024 22:47:25
Only thing I would say Danny is,

Where’s the cbs from the u18s and u21s

Rather than play casimiro there put an actual cb there?

But casimiro today was awful his worst performance in a red shirt

A lot of players needs replacing but even that will take time.

07 May 2024 11:25:16
Jackson on the bench yesterday, Ogunneye also played there at times was on the bench.

07 May 2024 12:14:04
I have to say that, although Olise is a quality player in excellent form, it was alarming to see Casemiro get skinned so easily.

I know there will be the odd apologist, but for any player with his level of experience to be done so easily is not a good look - and being played at CB is not an acceptable excuse.

That one moment sums up our season.
We have occasionally looked dressed for the party, but we have a habit of forgetting our knickers.

Looking forward to seeing Mount in the 10 role, hopefully he can show his abilities.

Well, not a good day to show anything. Humiliation.

Sancho playing a bliinder for Dortmund tonight - probably MOTM - in the semi final of the champions league
Genuine question- manager or player? Why didn’t it work out at United?

If you watch the pl the marking is so tight vs a champions league match and you get time to recieve a pass and have some space.

In the pl you are getting bumped half the time you are about to receive a pass in the advance positions and that where I think sancho struggles. A lot tighter and more physical and lot less space to operate.

Epl is a different animal. Like a different sport. It's just not for everybody.
Recruitment into the epl is so difficult.

Player, he's got bags of talent, but he doesn't have the mentality to be an elite footballer.

He doesn't have the discipline or drive to do the hard work. He won't keep to a healthy schedule, get enough sleep, eat the right things, train the right way and put in the effort all the time, not just when the stars align.

In Dortmund they allow him enough rope to be comfortable, he is the big fish, and that suits his mentality/ ego. Dortmund also play a style that suits his game, they press high and as such the distance to goal when he receives the ball is much shorter, he has more players around him to play passes off of and his lack of pace and power are not so exposed.

In the EPL and at United his lack of pace and power meant he wasn't able to make space for himself. While United's deeper transitional style of play meant he had to make up an extra 10-20 yards when he receives the ball, which without blistering pace meant he'd often get caught.

Instead of rising to the challenge at United, training to improve his pace and power, learning to adapt his game to those around him and the league he was in, he instead sulked and licked his wounds. He couldn't handle the pressure, he couldn't handle the criticism.

EtH tried his best to support him, he sent him away to train with people in the Netherlands, got him a psychiatrist to help him improve his mentality and develop some resilience.

He then came back and was improved for a month or so before slipping back into bad habits. He was unable to force his way back into the team as he wasn't even meeting the minimal standards in training.

EtH then tried the harder approach to try and get him on the right track after the softly softly approach hadn't worked.

Sancho's reaction was to throw his toys out the pram and create a massive drama. He then refused to accept any responsibility for his actions and apologise for them.

The manager was left with little choice but to cut him loose and limit his negative effect on the squad.

Southgate with England was quick to pick up on Sancho's negative impact and lack of drive and professionalism and as such just stopped selecting him for England. So it's not just EtH who has seen these issues.

Ole and Rangnick also saw and tried a few different things to get Sancho training and playing as he should to no avail.

No doubt Pep also saw it, which is why he didn't give him the chances that someone like Foden got.

The lad simply doesn't have the mentality to be an elite footballer despite having the talent. United need to cut him loose and sell him as soon as possible regardless of who is the manager next season.

Right it off as a bad signing and learn the lesson that we need to scout the players mentality/ personality just as much as their talent.

Why didn't it work for Kagawa or Mhki at utd either?

01 May 2024 21:38:34
You can see why ETH wanted to get Sancho out of the club.

Joking aside. How does a good player leave a club, become a bad player, and then go back to original club to become a good player again? Frame it however you want. It’s not a good look for ETH’s man management skills and will surely be noticed by Wilcox.

He’s been outstanding tonight against PSG.

If he can get Sancho to play so well maybe we should get the Dortmund manager in to replace ETH and energise a few other players too!

Tell u what that kid sancho at Dortmund looks decent. Pacey and can beat a man! Just the kind of winger we need. Maybe we should look at him 😂😂😂.

Once again the hand ball decision goes against us. I don't see the difference between the one given against AWB last weekend and the one not awarded for us today. The law needs rewriting so it is not completely subjective.

Maybe but Burnley deserved at least 1 point.

Probably a mistake in every match this week in every league in the world from Sunday league to the epl.
Same as there had been for the last 100 years.
Refs don't get everything right no big deal.

25 Apr 2024 13:53:00
The tempo was much faster last night, but same old problems at the back and runners from midfield. I really think a new CB who is both vocal and can organise the players around him is essential in the summer.
