Looks like we might see resolution either positive or negative on nunez soon seems to be a lot of reports liverpool making a €80 +€20 bid ed 002 says on liverpool page benfica will want as much up front as possible that might just be where we can beat them to the signing.

Liverpool I don't think will stump that much up front, and they won't want to get into a bidding war either so I still think we can get a deal done.

It's not as simple as offering more money upfront, the players wishes will also be considered.
Would he rather move to Liverpool with Klopp and UCL football, or United and EtH with EL football.
I've seen both quotes attributed to him saying he admires Ronaldo and would love to play with him, AND quotes saying he wants to play UCL football next season.
The reality is the longer we take to close deals the more chance there will be that we have competition for that players signature.

But it is as simple as well shappy they need to get an offer accepted if liverpool are offering the same as us but we offer 40-60 up front the rest in installments and then bonuses and liverpool are offering the initial payment over 3-5 years plus bonuses i know which one would be accpted and which would be rejected.
Yes the player needs to accept but that doesn't matter until a bid is accepted he could prefer liverpool or united but if only 1 makes an acceptable offer its not really a choice.
Whilst the player will have a choice i think he'd be happy to join either club if they make an acceptable offer.

Jesus christ tim that's depressing most the reports say liverpool are preparing a bid and at best its a verbal bid this transfer isn't finished but i do agree it feels like we may be dragging our heels but we have no idea uited may not have placed a bid but may be more down the line agreeing payment structures required so when a "bid" goes in a deal happens quickly.
