I made this point the other week but there has been a lot made of the epl not being that good this year .
Looking at the results in Europe is that really the case.

14, I know you’re on the wind up but easily got knocked out? We beat Leipzig 5-0 and PSG away, we just collapsed and went out by a point, obviously not great but we hardly got 0 points and embarrassed ourselves. I think it is just a bit of an odd season in general with no fans so it’s hard to judge ourselves and other teams.

Chelsea just out classed the top team in Spain over two legs tonight
. didn't conced a goal beat them over both legs
Liverpool just beat the second best team in Germany home and away didn't conced a goal .
City gone through won home and away , didn't conced a goal .
Last 8 of the CL
1 from Germany
1 from Spain
1 from Portugal
1 from France
3 from England
And that's before we look at the europa.

We needed just 1 point from 2 games in CL and Ole bottled it.
Hope he has learnt from his mistake and we win the Europa as we have the strongest squad in the competition.

The CL problem came from losing in Turkey, then because of that we approached the PSG and RBL games wrong. Amateur mistakes were made, not substituting Fred prior to an obvious red card, the Denver Ba goal, amateur. In fact I don’t think I saw that disorganised a goal conceded in all the years I played amateur football.
Personally I think we will go through tonight, but the CL campaign was a microcosm of the general position, a rollercoaster.
