If it's true that Palace are set on their price and also want a sell on clause from Zaha''s transfer removed, we should walk away. He's a talented player but enough is enough. We have a valuation, they have a valuation. If those two are far apart then we should be going onto our next option.

its 10 million more than what we first offered,

yeah there are different steps to a transfer but for us to be told we want 50 million for then to bid 35 million with addons is a joke on our part.

just pay the extra 10 million and get the deal done.

the window shuts in 40 odd days and we still have bought no one in defense.

maybe buy zaha and wan bissaka from palace this summer, would sort out the fact that we haven't used the right hand side of the pitch for 5 years.

It sounds like we are holding every other deal off until this one is done. Amateurish. We only have one person that can discuss a transfer and he can't negotiate more than one at any given time?

I agree completely but we need to draw a line in the sand. If they won't budge on 50, either pay up or move on. The reason we constantly get our pants pulled down when going for transfers is because we are so predictable.

Ole wanted the signings in before pre season so he could obviously work on fitness. We have a lot of work to do behind scenes. We have a free run at AWB. It shouldn't be difficult to get the deal over the line. If it is difficult, then move on.

1 week to go for pre-season.

Mumbles, i fully agree. Also, the fact we have a free run at AWB is worrying. Both City and Spurs could be looking at RBs, so why are they not involved? He's completely overpriced and i think will be a huge mistake if we bought him. He's good at tackling and that's it. No end product, no flexibility, terrible at passing. Max Aarons at Norwich is the one we should be chasing.

AAA, have you watched much of the championship?

who is this aarons? i know he has won young player of the season but that's it.

Bothe City and Spurs have first choice rbs which AWB will not be happy with. We can offer him game time which they won't be able to guarantee unless their first choice gets injured.

To be fair i wouldn't even sign him as he is similar age to Dalot and i would rather go for an older head but let's see what happens.

Having watched the U21 and yes it was only one game, AWB worried me. They say a United player has to be brave and he looked nervous, the occasion looked like it got to him and if it was the United speculation, imagine what it will be like when he wears the shirt, then his distribution was not good. It made me think step back and re-evaluate. Not saying don’t buy him but an awful lot of money is being asked.

Dalot looks a better player to be honest, stepped into some key games and didn’t look phased, PSG away being one. Why spend £50m+, I am with AAA to be honest but I haven’t seen Aarons.

Bolger, yes, i have watched a lot of championship games and Norwich have a very good unit. Both fullbacks are quick and attack minded. They'll surprise many people.
I agree fully with Red Man re AWB, he's clumsy at passing, terrible touch, and can't turn quickly. Only attribute is his tackling. Way overpriced and i wouldn't buy him for half the price even. Come Xmas, the huge mistake we're about to make will become apparent.
