We all know Ole is a joke but the players are also a disgrace in my eyes. Please can anyone seriously name me one player in that squad barring Cavani would you want to go into battle on the field for you.

AJH, although I do agree with you I think the board have left themselves in a very tricky situation.
Ole cannot continue any longer and that's for sure. It means we need a manager for the now as the longer we take we have less possibilities of getting a top manager.
Imagine we decide to appoint someone as caretaker to give us more time and the results get worse and we end up out of the champions league for next season, we no longer will be attractive for anyone considering the job.
Conte seems to be the obvious choice as per rumours and some probably not happy with that but we got to make a decision and soon.

Blackpool i would say everyone, they just won't go into battle for Ole. How hard is it to understand that the players do not want to play under Ole anymore.

Blackpool Red, it all comes down to the manager.
It doesn't seem the players are really being coached with any sort of intense training sessions with a defined system and tactics in mind.
Maybe a lot of fun and smiles during training rather than serious training sessions.

The Board are indeed in a tricky position. My worry is that if and when we sack Ole, we will knee jerk into a quick appointment. Conte seems to be flavour of the month on here, I worry that culturally it will be a horrible fit.
It’s a mess, Ole needs to go, no obvious available candidate, meaning that if they sack him we will rush his replacement.
Red Man has made the point previously, how about a considered proper recruitment process identifying exactly what we need, drawing up a list of preferred candidates, and then pursuing them. Even if we don’t make champions league next year it’s worth doing, the right man is essential.
