So Dybala won't be joining, probably the right decision. Hopefully we have learned our lesson about just throwing money at players who don't want to really be here.

As for the Fernandes rumours, well they are in contrast to what Ed002 has said. He has been on the money more often than not, so I wouldn't say that we can strike Bruno Fernandes off the list just yet.

I agree we need some more creation in midfield, when Pogba doesn't play or has an off game we look far more blunt in attack.

That said I don't think it's a No.10 we need as such. Our issues when Pogba doesn't play isn't creativity in the final third but from deeper in midfield. Signing a No.10 won't solve that. However, if we stick to the 4231 formation used during pre-season then whoever we sign for a deeper creative midfield role will be competing WITH Pogba for a staring spot not as someone to play alongside him. Which makes it a tough sell.

We have a few days left in the transfer window, there really is no point freaking out with every rumour the will come thick and fast now as the media milks every last drop out of it. What will happen will happen, regardless of anyone ranting on the internet.

I’m confused as to what is true and what isn’t. ED02 gave us some great insight yet we now see United denying they ever wanted Fernandes, there’s a lot of misdirection going on. Given all the midfielders we have been looking at, surely we will be signing one his week.

I think there was always going to be loads of speculation about United this summer. We had a poor season last year, we have a new manager, and we have potentially three first team players who want to leave.

So we would need signings to improve the overall squad, signings to suit the new manager and signings to replace leaving players.

The fact is very few people actually know what the club is planning, and United sells. So it's in the media's best interests to speculate about our club and potential new signings. Having one of the largest fan bases potentially the largest in world football means if you attach our name to any article it will be read by millions of people. So it's just good business sense to discuss United. How many YouTube fan channels are there for our club? How many for Burnley? There are people with no connection to United recording videos discussing tactics and potential transfers uploading videos every day and making money out of it, for some it is their only job it pays that well.

The only fact we know is the club are looking to improve the squad. All we can do is wait and see what pans out.
