Quick question for ed, just wondered if the club have made any efforts to sort a new contract for Harerra, with his contract up next summer, surely we need to pin him down to a new deal soon? Any info appreciated.
{Ed001's Note - not yet, but he did fall out with Jose so he was not going to be there long enough to need an extension. I expect that talks will begin at some point of the close season.}

It would be nice to see him signed up Stand. He was my player of the year last season. I think he is very tactically sound and his natural technical ability allows him to play all of the various midfield roles to a very high level. He can play in a 2 or 3 man midfield he can man mark he can play deep or advanced or box to box. Can pass tackle and intercept.
If we play a 3 man midfield my ideal 6 in the squad to choose 3 from would be fabhino kroos Herrera pogba carrick fellaini ( i'd rather matuidi to fellaini) with fabhino also top cover for Valencia there would be lots of football for all.
If we play a 2 man midfield 2 from Herrera pogba fabhino matuidi would be ideal.

Agreed Ken. I thought he was outstanding this season. As you know as we've talked about him many times before I'm a big fan of his. I think he is a brilliant player, and showing himself to be a leader. With Rooney off this summer I'd make him our captain. Always gives 100%, shows more passion for the club than almost anyone, and constantly talking and instructing players. In the Europa final last week, when we scored and everyone was celebrating, unnoticed him straight away go over to one of our players, I forget who, and have a word. He's a natural leader. Hope we tie him down to a 5 year deal.

Get him signed up and make him one of the top earners at the club. He's a rare breed. He has bags of talent, works his socks off and clearly loves the club and the fans.
