Afternoon guys, I made a comment a couple of days back that I thought De Gea would stay and personally, I still believe he will. My view on the situation is that his family, GF and obviously agent would want a move to Madrid but I think that De Gea is very much torn and potentially favours staying with us. I thought it was interesting what LVG said about it being tempting due to family etc but ultimately it is up to the player and I think this is why the situation is being dragged out longer than it should be. I hope if this is the case that De Gea makes the decision for himself because I think we'd all agree that as appealing as Real Madrid can be, history would suggest they do not support their players when things get tough the way we do in England. As for the Carrick replacement, I saw Madrid are willing to sell Illarramendi, who could be worth looking at?
So in conclusion, keep De Gea, Sign Bale, Illarramendi, Carvajal and Ronaldo for good measure!!

I honestly don't think De Gea wants to sign for Real Madrid. Reportedly his family are content with him in Manchester. It seems his agent and his girlfriend want it to happen and they're the ones trying to sway him.

His family like it here and appreciate the less intrusive press which is a worry for them in Madrid.
It Will be about hid GF. And I am sure that is a tough one to go against.
