I know we have a loooong way to go, but I'm finally enjoying watching us again after nearly 10 years. We're miles off city but it's a work in progress in which I finally think we have a guy who's capable of getting us closer. I listen to ETH explain himself after games, and it's clear as day he's a world apart from the likes of Ole.
I can't remember the last signing who's not been a flop before this summer, all of ETH signings look good business. Casimero needs game time but looked good when he came on last night, Erickson is quality, literally on another planet to Pogba, who was useless his whole time here, Martinez is quality and Malacia looks a prospect.
Good to see Maguire out the side. Hopefully he's sold.

Maybe it's early days but derby day I really feel we are going to beat city if the same Xi plays.
City will play a high line and Marcus is unbelievable in those games.
Games like city I am really not against have martial, rash and antony as the front 3 really at the shoulder of defenders.
Martinez, Eriksen, Bruno can all pick that ball over the top pass and Rashford especially is deadly.
Martinez and Varane have been rock solid but I have a feeling this won't last long with Varane's injury record, I hope he stays fir.

If Haaland stays fit then Haaland will walk the league for sure. I’m going to stick my neck out and say if Varane stays fit though I think we can go close. Even with the considerable question marks over who plays centre forward, we look like we have some team spirit at last. Long long way to go but we have a manager who won’t take any crap and doesn’t fear dropping anyone. If he can do that but keep the squad together we could go a long way.

I still think top 4 will be a step too far this season. One injury to Verane or a Martinez and we’re stuffed again. Think Haaland will give us a torrid time.

Idk about that Varane and Martinez have been absolutely water tight on defense and we have a certain acrobat in de gea that can pull any save.
I don't think City will find it easy against us and they could be up for a suprise.
Begining to feel a little like early klopp team where the first XI are absolutely amazing and the moment the reserves come in the quality seems to drop quite a bit.

City will beat us imo, a tight game i suspect and looking forward to seeing how eth sets us up. City just too good and not even out off 3rd gear yet which is scary.
Watched them against wolves and they toyed with them tbh and on another day could have put 5/ 6 against them. I assume we will set up like we did against liverpool.
Can’t really defend against halaand for 90 minutes . He will find something eventually to score.
