Am watching PSG v Rennes. Just had a player sent off. Team playing with no urgency and no desire. So brittle. Poch has got a hard slog ahead of him. We really should have beaten them.

Managers can become the new media darlings for a while, then they are often overlooked when a shiny new manager comes along.
The British media have a thing for Pochettino, no doubt he's a good manager. Personally I just don't see him as an elite level manager.
It's funny that Tuchel was sacked by PSG for not being good enough and less than 6 months later he has Chelsea in the UCL final, Tuchel's second UCL final appearance in two years. While Pochettino has failed in Europe and hasn't improved PSG in the league.
Personally I think the issues at PSG are not the managers, but the playing staff. Too many big egos who lack work rate and humility. While having several members of the first team squad on 30-40k per week while you have others of 300-400k per week is never going to create a united dressing room.

I think you get Managers and you get Coaches and for me, Pochettino is a Coach who will do well at a club where he HAS to Coach and develop players and bring through youngsters. Southampton was a great example of what he can do.
But when you go up the levels, you have to become a Manager and manage personalities and motivate big star names. I think this is why he never achieved what everyone thought he should do at Tottenham because he couldn't quite get that extra out of players and why he is, by their standards and expectations, struggling at PSG.
I think, unfortunately for Pochettino, he will always be that tier down from Klopp, Tuchel, Guardiola. Oh, and Solskjaer ;)
