Everton sit 4th in the league and played more or less their strongest team . We made 9 changes and got the win .
Slow start to the season after no pre season but we are picking up from where we left of last season now, getting fitter finding a bit of form and a bit of confidence. Still room for improvement.
Are things really that bad.

In the top 4 where we should be. Disastrous display in the Champions League considering the start we had. We got to the semi-final of this competition last season so as of right now it's par for the course.

I am getting sick and tired of reading this no preseason cr@p. It's not like we were the only ones not allowed to go for the preseason tour. We were just slow off the blocks and are starting to find form now only IMO.

Good first 20 mins and finished well, but lost our way for a while. It’s a results business and we are winning so I am happy with that.

Are things that bad was the question?

We are through to a semi and sit in the top four. I think that is reasonable but to manage United you have to show you can go further. We have to not just beat City but win the cup or a cup, otherwise we will just say it will happen next season.

Just think of all the stuff you have posted . Are things really that bad, its not like we where mid table last season either.

Deep,

We weren’t the only ones, city and wolves were the same and look how they started as well. Other teams had a much longer break than us and also had time training when they came back because of our involvement in the Europa league, the game against Palace it’s clear to see we were so far off the pace, they already had a game under their belts after a much longer break, it’s certainly fair to mention it and unfair to ignore it imo.

Things were bad at times this season, the recent City draw was awful negative dross. I post as I see it, when I see it and it isn’t time yet to herald anything yet. There is still a lack of width in our play

There are some positive things and I am delighted to win last night, will be even more so if we can at Leicester.

It’s Christmas, let’s not degenerate the post into your usual diatribe.

{Ed047's Note - you can but hope
