People try to defend Rooney by saying we aren't creating enough chances for him but they need to realise we need a striker who can create chances for himself such as an Aguero / Suarez / Benzema / Lewandowski. The first two are clearly unobtainable but If it was up to me I would go all out for one the Benzema or Lewandowski.

Agree9 Disagree2

Benzema doesn't create chances for himself, he relies on others and would struggle just as much as Rooney is and as much as Falcao did. Lewandowski is a step up from that but I fear he would struggle too due to lack of pace.

Lewondoski does not lack pace . also benzema can great his own chances he is one of best at shift and shoot. watch the players before comment .no offense but your wrong about them both.

Don't patronise me WWJ, Lewandowski isn't slow, but he does lack pace in the essence that he isn't known to be a fast player, he's more like the RVP's of this world who rely on great movement and excellent finishing rather than your pacey strikers like Aguero.

We could create chances if we had a fit and mobile CF as opposed to a blundering lump. Harsh but fair

Suppose that's true AJH, he doesn't do himself any favours. Hope I'm wrong but I can't see us signing and 'big name' strikers, especially whilst Rooney is captain and LVG dubbed him undroppable.

Anon, watch the players before commenting. If you want to understand what I'm talking about watch Benzema's goal vs Sociedad and Lewandowski vs Barcelona both from last season. Both fantastic goals created by themselves from nowhere, the types of goals Rooney hasn't had in him for years.

thats twice now I've been told to watch football before commenting, just because your opinion differs to mine doesn't mean I don't watch football, who gave you the God given right to claim superior football knowledge over everyone?

{Ed001's Note - if you watched football you would know ;o)

Sorry couldn't resist!}
