Harry good question I will try to explain.
We have our players on very high wages, wags that can only be afforded by a handful of the biggest clubs. So if we want to sell a player and only lesser clubs are interested they cannot aboard the wages they need to pay to secure the player AND a high purchase price. Often we want the player out so the saving on wages becomes as attractive to us as a high fee. I hope that makes sense

Thanks for that Ken! Still though, RVP and Nani went to the biggest club in Turkey, you think they'd have a bit more than that.

Simple supply and demand, the buying club knows that we really wanted to get rid which means there is a bargain to be had!

One thing I can tell you is that we never know the real amount of money paid between the clubs and there are add-ons on games, trophies etc. For example RVP maybe bought for €5M, but if Fenerbahche win the league it could be +5M, or Rafael could have a clause with a 50% for United if Lyon sell him. These are the kind of stuff that we as fans will never know with 100%

The wages they are paying rvp is same as us the total package is ground breaking for Turkish football so it way past their past maximum Harry
