Interesting piece from Luckhurst about Bryan Mbeumo.
I have to say that I agree, he'd be a vast upgrade on what we currently have on the right.
Antony just isn't good enough and absolutely never will be.
Pellistri has had long enough to step up properly, but hasn't.
Amad has had little opportunity to show himself properly in red.
Rashford's still better on the left.
Garnacho's still better on the left.
Sancho's still better in the bin.
Mbeumo is a ten Hag-style wide player.
Left-footed playing right side, but can actually use his weaker foot to ping in a cross or two. Strong, direct, always busy.
He is basically a combination of all the strengths offered by Antony, Pellistri and Amad combined.
I think the Valencia comparison is a bit of a Luckhurstian stretch though.

I'd say there are a few RW upgrades lurking in the Prem at so-called smaller clubs. Neto and Mbeumo spring to mind for sure.
I can't see Brentford selling both him and Toney, which seems a possibility, although they'd have. sizeable wedge to invest afterwards.
But I'm equally not sure if Utd will take the almighty hit on Antony in such a short space of time. It's also a worry that such an expensive signing was deemed good enough by the manager. Maybe there's more to come from him, his mind has been elsewhere for the last few months. At his very best he's has good games but they've definitely tailed off.

Upgrades on Antony can be found even in the lower tiers, it's not a stretch, however that doesn't mean we should go for them (Just look at Ismaila Sarr or at Buendia in Norwich vs at villa) . Personally I'd give Amad, Pellistri and co a chance this season and find a good RW next season if they don't impress.

Funny people mention effort when it comes to Rashford but Antony hasn't made the effort to learn how to kick the ball with his right foot yet.

I don't think we will be looking for players to play Tan Hag Ball in January.
Don't see anyone coming in nor do I think we should that don't fit in with the vision of our new DoF. The only way to build now has to be with a fit for the plan of a man not yet appointed.
Not to say the anyone is or isn't a fit for that, I just do not see it being sensible to bring anyone in until we have sorted what needs to be.

I like Mbeumo and think he's a good player. I don't think he quite has what it takes to be a starter at a top club, but he's the sort of excellent support player to have in the squad who can cover multiple positions in the forward line without a huge drop off in quality.
I really like Pedro Neto, I think he'd be an excellent signing. My only concern is his injury record.
Moussa Diaby has been excellent for Villa since he signed. He's absolutely rapid, but has the skills with the ball at his feet.
However, maybe the best option from an EPL club would be Michael Olise from Palace. He's not the quickest, but has such good technique and his reading of the game is excellent. He plays really clever football.

Young guy antonio nusa would be great investment and can pllay both wings. Silky and great acceleration and driibling. Nico williams from bilbao also pretty darn good on the right. Both young and will not cost a fortune.
