Hey Ed’s,
Few reports today, specifically coming out of the Saudi national press about Bruno. There were previous reports of his agent talking to numerous European teams and the Saudis about a possible move. I have no idea how this all works but would the player instruct his agent to explore options?
Also is Bruno a target for the Saudi league as far as you know?
{Ed002's Note - Bruno Fernandes (AM) ME still beckons after an offer from Al Hilal was rejected by the player. Al-Nassr are willing to pay a premium fee to Manchester Unted and provide the player with significant compensation. A wildcard may be Bayern Munich who his agent approached - but they would not be interested if any significant fee was demanded. May well depart in the summer when there will be many changes or perhaps wait one more year. The club will not want him to leave, so they may need to offer a new contract.}

Than you.
{Ed002's Note - You are welcom.}

Still our best player in my opinion and gives his all every match.

Disaster to sell him.
A) he is our best player by a country mile
B) Genuinely one of the only world class players we have
C) who in god's green earth could you replace him with
Untouchable for me.

Angelred and Eric - what if he wants to leave?
06 Jul 2024 19:14:54
I'd sell him if we recieved a stupid offer.

If he wants to leave that's okay. Never good to keep a player if he doesn't want to stay. I'm specifically talking about the club selling him of their own accord.

They can't sell him if he doesn't want to leave angel. If he doesn't want to leave its irrelevant what the club want. He won't leave if he doesn't want to.

Big loss if he goes but
1. The fee could accelerate our rebuild
2. We can be over-reliant on Bruno at times and need to move away from being dependent on him to having multiple attacking threats and strategies
3. He won’t stay forever: the longer he stays, the less fee we’ll get. Thus cash in now to get top dollar for him: it’s what Man City or Chelsea would do.

Can't see Bruno going to Saudi and never struck me as a guy who is going to chase money that desperately and still a top player. Reality is guys like ronaldo and the rest of who have gone there are way past their best and had a choice to stay at significant reductions to what they earn and second tier clubs or take a massive pay off in exchange for many lifestyle aspects. Time will tell and comes down to the character of each individual.

It is the players job and like most people if someone offered you a lot more money for a lot less work it would pique an interest.
This obviously doesn't apply to fans who have this false sense that a player should have loyalty over maximizing their earning poenltential and pundits who will tell you that modern footballers are all soft, disloyal money grabbers who are selling out, selling their soul, destroying their legacy, are generally just worse human beings than they are.
I can't really criticize any man who makes a decision that better secureaa the long term future and prospects of his family by maximizing his earning potential which for most currently would appear to be playing in Saudi.
