With the increasing fan protest against the the Glazers, do any of the Eds have any insight regarding the sale of the club or interested parties?

{Ed002's Note - No - if the Toxics get their way I personally hope that the club moves in to institutional ownership and the supporters will really get what they deserve. Untill then the Toxics will continue to attempt to destroy the club and the decent fans will suffer.}

Ed do you agree though that the club has been run as their own piggy bank the last 10 years?
City have had a billion pumped in. We have had a billion paid out in dividends, directors fees etc in the same time span. City got Txiki in to sort the recruitment which paved the way for Pep. We got Ed and David Moyes.
End of the day the Glazers own the club and can do what they want but we look at Liverpool and City. They don't pay their owners dividends. They have invested in the club. Not just the team. The Glazers have never put a penny of their own money into the club. Its been take take take. Its not even to do with the money in my head. Its the piss poor recruitment behind the scenes. This has transffered onto the pitch and now we are at the point where we need a massive rebuild on the pitch too. Now clubs will bend us over a barrell. I bet Liverpool wtc wouldn't be quoted the money for AWB by Palace but they know we are desperate and will pay it.
We used to be a a club that players wanted to join for the chance to win big trophies. Now its for the wages and we don't have a billionaire sugar daddy financing it all by getting a friend to sponsor Peps en suite in his office for 200 mill a season.
The club is at a crossroads. Get the next 2 years wrong and I beleive we will struggle to get anywhere near the success we had under the current owners.

{Ed002's Note - No of course it hasn't. It is nothing whatsoever to do with Manchester City. I don't think you understand the finances at Liverpool or Manchester City - you need to forget the money as a lot of what you have said is embarrassing.

The owners are not responsible for the recruitment - aside from failing to understand the finances the Manchester United fans have no grasp of how the business is run at all. Crystal Palace are not looking to charge Manchester United any more for a player than they would from Liverpool - you are deluded.

The club has the well deserved problems that it does because of the Toxics - I warned you all at the time.

Now all of this has started again just because Spurs have gone to sign a player that the club has no interest in. It is stupid and very, very embarrassing seeing all of this whining.}

For some reason people feel the need to blame someone.

Im not looking at the Ndombele transfer at all. i'm looking at a club that has been a football powerhouse that us now in free fall. It can't be all the fans fault. It shows a proper lack of backbone if the club does what the fans want all the time and if that is the case, I would say the wrong people are running things at the club.
11 years ago we had one of the best teams I have seen. Now we have no identity in our play. No passion. While I understand you saying the fans got Moyes and LVG the boot, surely the were never the right men in the first place?
We have never been ruthless in the market. After 99 and 08 we stagnated. That was the time to go big. Get the best players in. After SAF and Gill left, the same should have been done. The best coach/ manager and a top cheif exec and maybe a Technical Director. We didnt. We let a tactically inept Moyes take over and LVG who played football from the 90s. They are appointments from the top of the club and I am sure the Glazers have to green light it at the advice of their cheif exec. Yes the fans drummed them out but it was dross to watch. Bobby Charlton always said that Old Trafford was there to entertain the working man who had spent their hard earned money. There was no entertainment for any United fan in those years. Yet, we keep announcing record breaking commercial deals. It felt the football took a backseat. It was all about the bottom line. Sure, some fans will look the other way if success is in tandem but its not. For 25 years the club built a dynasty and now it feels like its been pissed away in 5 years.
Like I said the buck has to stop somewhere Ed and it can not be at the feet of the fans. There is no way the club is being run correctly in my view. Its hatdly like the infrastructure was never there and when I say in my view, I mean from the players on the pitch, the coaches, the transfer dealings and contracts. Take money out of the equation, as you say we struggle to understand that and I am a simple bloke. I make my judgements on the teams form these last 5 years and the crazy contracts given out. Its not good enough. Crazy decisions and it makes the club look foolish. So again, the question is who takes the blame?

{Ed002's Note - (a) It is in the position it is in (which is totally deserved) because of the Toxics - I explained at the time what would happen - and it has. (b) You obviously don't understand how the business is run.}

Hi Ed002,

Please don’t bite my head off for asking this but, given your impeccable insights into how clubs are run, is there any truth in Woodward’s reported reluctance to sell Pogba? (I appreciate this might just be media mischief making! )

If there is, is it for footballing reasons (ie keep your best players) or for business reasons, such as him bro g tied into a commercial deal with Adidas and their sponsorship of the club? (Again, apologies if I e been taken in by scurrilous media reports)

Any insights would be greatly appreciated, many thanks as always!

{Ed002's Note - Paul Pogba wants out and if a suitable offer is made to the club and player then it will happen. MU will try to avoid players being included in any deal.}

Thanks for taking the time to reply Ed, much appreciated!

{Ed002's Note - You are welcome.}
