I think De Gea's role this season will be very important in terms of his leadership skills. I fell Mourinho will give De Gea a lot of trust and demand more from him to lead out from the back! If Mourinho decides on another Captain, De Gea will definitely be in the running, but for now he may be made vice captain over Smalling and Carrick!
No matter what he will be a big part of Jose's plans and I'm sure Jose will show DDG exactly how much he means to the club and the great importance his role will be under the Mourinho Era!

So is Carrick, tbh other than Rooney and and now Zlatan, everyone else is really quiet in that dressing room!
De Gea knows how to deal with his defence and he doesn't need to be the most vocal when it comes down to him saving us game by game!
If you want him to stay for the long run, show him what he means to the club, De Gea is and will always be the 1st person on that team sheet guaranteed a spot!
I would hope he is looked at for the vice role at least he's been here for 5 years now and in that time he's been the most consistent player!
