Granted LVG hasn't made the progress in his second season that was expected and, apart from a few exceptions, the performances have been ponderous and uninspiring, but i don't believe he's been a total failure.

He was bought in to overhaul a stagnating club and to lay the foundations for a longer term manager to come in. By accident (injuries forcing youngsters to come in) or design (smaller squad) he's in the process of doing this, even though some signings haven't paid off (Depay, Sweinsteiger) and it has appeared that he's either lost the dressing room at times or just confused them with his tactics and belief that players should be able to step into multiple positions. He's also not purchased a CB, which was essential.

Thus, while I do believe it's time for a new manager (hopefully someone long term like Pochetino or Allegri), I don't think he's been a complete failure. The next manager will hopefully reap the rewards of the youngsters who have been given hope of first team football, the greater awareness of tactics and players brought in who will have a better second season. With just a few shrewd additions in the summer, plus the right manager, I believe we can be successful again next year.

LVG has dismantled a squad that needed a change. But I think on balance, he has gone to far. We could still make use of Chicharito, Nani and maybe even Zaha who could kick on under the right tutor.

He has spent stupidly at times, Rojo for example and has stumbled upon a few youth players, who he admits aren't ready, due to the failings of his transfers which have left us thread bare. Strangely, in the long run this will work to our advantage as the likes of Rashford and Fosu-Mensah should go on to become well established first team players.

As for Leicester, they don't even need to beat us. Spurs are perfectly capable of not getting a result at Chelsea which would hand them the title either way.

Whether we beat them or not, and I think we will, I suspect Leicester fans will be celebrating at Old Trafford on the weekend.
