Eds do you think they expected the English fans to be as upset by this as they clearly are?

Also if it was to fall apart do you think the current owners/ chief execs of the 6 can continue to be in charge of the clubs?

{Ed002's Note - Yes. Owners cannot easily sell clubs. So even though the main protagonists at Manchester United and Liverpool may not be popular, they cannot simply walk away.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Ed, obviously you've said tbi s was coming for years.

Are you surprised by the reaction? Fans, government's, organisations uniting?
Are you surprised by how the club's have gone about it?

I have a feeling they knew it would be a disaster, but once the idea is floated Once, it's easier in the future to try it again.

{Ed002's Note - Not at all. Unlike the other plans where there has been at least some co-ordination this is FSG carrying out a threat they made after the LFC/MUFC Project Bigfoot failed last year.}

So we're not even the main villain in this? We're just an evil henchman?

Very disappointing.

Have you been able to get a reaction from any players involved within these clubs? Do you think they will just concentrate on the football and let it sort itself out, or do you think they will make their voices heard?

Yeah I get that ed and appreciate the feedback obviously I tried to frame the question in a way you could answer rather than asking you to guess the owners choices if this wasn't successful.

Personally I think they will be putting themselves in a place where they will need to look sell if it does not go ahead the difficult question is who can afford man utd/ Liverpool.

{Ed002's Note - Selling would not be easy.}

Shall we start a crowd funding to buy 51% maybe we can find someone a company to support the other half?

We have been protesting against the Glazer's for 15 years, not sure they will be bothered what the fans do.

All the other protests we have conducted have essentially been well intentioned but toothless, the Glazer's know that as long as the team is relatively successful on the pitch, the fans will tolerate a lot.

The glazers will go nowhere and I severely doubt whoever could buy them out wouldn’t want the same as them right now.

All the owners are serious business men. They know that if they could for example run live matches from their own inhouse channel they would be making absolute fortunes.

Imagine if Utd charged £1 a match. Then with 100 million worldwide watching each match. you can see how it dwarfs the current tv deal income received. Then add their ability to run adverts too.

So the commercially astute owners in purely business terms are underselling their product as thinga stand.

To get them to back down they will need a lot more money and even possibly concessions re streaming matches live.

Ethically in terms of how football operates as a sport of course what they have done is abhorrent.

The legalities of their actions and any counter measures could take years to sort out if dragged through the courts. At some point there will probably be a compromise which won't suit all parties but ultimately will be necessary.
