I reckon with Evra still preforming pretty well and Shaw looking fantastic before his injury we can call that one a draw?!

Evra was a great player for us and I would have kept him as cover but he would not be first choice. Italian league suits his standing now as it is much slower and watching the Euros he looked a liability.
Great player but not what we need or have needed.

I just looking through some old posts and saw it and it made me laugh. When i first joined the site we had a "debate" about Evra with most people wanting to get rid of him and I was sticking up for him.
That post was after Shaw's less than impressive 1st season and it made me laugh that I wrote him off so quickly. Shaw was certainly well on his way to proving me wrong until his injury cut his season short.

It just goes to show that good young players still need exposure to the first team. It takes time to adjust and settle in. Which makes you wonder how good TFM, Taunzebe, Rashford, varela, A. Pereira, can be with a year in and around the first team. I'd love to see pireira tested out this year. I think we have one of the best young groups we've had in years. They won't all make it but surely 2 or 3.
I'm looking forward to this year for that reason alone.
