Just as 4th spot seems up for grabs again LVG drops Morgan, varela and Depay. not sure what is going through LVGs head if he thinks winning Europa is easier than 4th spot giving the recent form of Spurs Arsenal and city. Especially given LVGs terrible cup record as manager.

Was thinking the same, just a Rooney away from having the same team that struggled most of the season. Why change a winning team, especially Morgan who was forging a good partnership with Herrera and Memphis who was gaining confidence, can't be tiredness with any if these lads. Varela can run all day long. Not a fan of smalling at all either tbh.

I thought Memphis wasn't great against Watford.
Schneiderlin will need a break.
Varela is the one I'm not too sure why he's dropped him. He shouldn't he tired as he is young and hasn't played much football all season and he has been playing really well. The only thing I can think of is Darmian and Rojo need match sharpness and its probably better to gain that against West Brom in the league rather than Liverpool or West Ham in the cups.

Well by the way it looks, we will fight fir Europe League this year.
It means that teams in our situation, resting players at this time of the season, is pointless.

Thought smalling was our best player today and the only surprise exclusion was verela we have played 4 games in 10 days players are going to be tired and I would rather they be rested for a match than injured for 5 matches.
I am not standing up for the manager as such as I really didn't understand his changes today and believe it hindered us but his job is to rotate the squad and try and end the injury nightmare that we are in.
And just as a side note and only my opinion but mata lost us this game today with his stupidity as mirralas did yesterday for Everton.
Every team loses games and the fact that we had 10 men didn't help but these things happen it's just very disappointing that every time we get a glimmer we mess it up 😢
Oh well on to the scousers.
