On the topic of who would be a good replacement for De Gea, how about the Ajax goalkeeper. I can't remember his name, but wasn't he LVGs choice for last world cup. I don't know much about that guy so if anyone has seen him can you please share your views.

Cillessen - not good enough for me, looks scrawny for a keeper (more so than DDG even), I think he would get bullied in the PL. Reminds me of the Canadians in South Park, I hope we don't go near him.

Begovic is Bosnian. He lived in Germany and Canada , but was born in Yugoslavia (latterly Bosnia and Herzegovina).

Did you know that Dzeko was the only Bosnian who was born and raised there out of their World Cup squad? Little factoid I picked up on a tv program.
Dzeko could be interesting if we look past the City thing, especially if we sell RVP and don't renew Falcao.

Beast, Dzeko to me is a lazy player that i wouldn't let anywhere near utd! Much rather prefer we look at Mandzukic if that is the sort we are after. (which i hope isn't)
If DDG leaves there is no better replacement that Asmir! Forget the Kruls, Lloris', Handovichs etc! Only other realistic and worthy target I'd consider is Cech, regardless of his poor distribution!

We have several young keepers coming through and I hear good things about our U21 Portuguese keeper so I would look to a more experienced one like a Cech and see if the young ones develop to push him in a couple of years time

Did we not also sign a 6"7' Serbian keeper last summer? I know he is only 18/19 years old? But I believe he is one who will be pushing for some first team football in a year or two.
My hope is Dave signs an extension, RM sign chec for a couple of seasons and we sell Dave on in a year or two for the £40-50m he is worth and not the derisory amounts being quoted in the press.

Cech will stay in London if Chelsea approve the arsenal move. From what I read he has a gentleman's agreement with Abramovich after not leaving last season.
Begovic would be great and prem ready. is he the style that Lvg wants though?
Loris is probably too much money and most other options come with various risks. Kruul I would habevtaken a couple of years ago but not now.
Cilason would be good if we got him for £10/15m. could learn off valdes, challenge for no1 and allow him time to bulk up like ddg did. At least Lvg knows,What he gets with him attitude wise.

Just been advised that vanja milinkovic (young Serbian keeper) is to join the first team over the summer/ be in the first team squad for next season. Let's hope he is another diamond in the rough.
Maybe Begovic would be a good signing to help him settle/ help with the language barrier.
