I think Varane is a top notch signing. The guys know how's to win, he's very experienced and now has a point to prove. I hope he helps drive us forward now, I really think he can. You don't win the trophies he has without having something about you.

What we've needed is players who will be signed who when fit almost walk into the side, Varane does that. Sancho I think does that too. That's how you make your squad better. Lindelof isn't a bad centre half, but he's not good enough to be a regular every week for a club that wants to compete for top honours.

I think Varane and Sancho are two key parts to the jigsaw, but not the most important. We need another midfielder who is capable of breaking play and setting a tempo. Personally I would love someone like Saul due to the tactical flexibility he brings, but I see us looking to someone like Neves.

Anymore signings will likely depend on outgoings as we know.
In terms of who I think should go:
Goalkeeper- de gea. Top player but has been declining for a couple of seasons now and on massive money.
Defenders: Jones- needs to leave for his own sake.
Bailly- far too many injuries and not kicked in from his first season.
Dalot- decent going forward but I don't see anything in him defensively that makes me think he's good enough for us.
Midfield: Pereria- not good enough
Lingard- deserves to be a regular somewhere.
Pogba- nothing to do with ability, just the circus that surrounds him and the fact he doesn't want to be here.
Forwards: James- not good enough.
Martial- talented, but the laziest and most stroppy player I've seen at the club in my time.

If we can raise the funds and get a top midfielder in then I think we can challenge. Either way with the two signings made so far Ole now has to take us closer to the top. There can be no excuses now. He's got his two top targets this summer, and we need to see improvement. If this season we regress then it will be curtains.
