Am i the only one who thinks this whole Ronaldo debarkle is just CRAP!

For the money being touted about we could bring in Morata AND Dybala!

Also Ronaldo is sponsored by NIKE, we as a football club are now ADIDAS and commercially would make much more financial sense Morata (who is Adidas) and Dybala (who according to reports will soon be Adidas also) to be at our club! Not to mention Ronaldo is 32/ 33? Morata/ Dybala 24 and 23 respectively!

It's crazy!

Go to Paris Mate!

We have more chance of winning silverware with Rinaldo than any other.

19 Jun 2017 13:48:33
Yeah go to Paris mate . Best footballer to ever have played the game, a goal machine who would almost guarantee success . But because he wears a different sports brand let's spend the same amount on two players that are not even comparable because they wear three stripes instead of a tick .

19 Jun 2017 13:49:32
It won't happen in any case but for the record, i would take Ronaldo over Morata and Dybala any day of the week!

19 Jun 2017 14:13:26
I think he'd find adapting to the prem again difficult, the prem is much more challenging and he still throws himself to the floor in la liga!

19 Jun 2017 14:18:55
I agree with Ronnie (never thought I'd say that), I don't understand the blind devotion to a 32 year old who left us to pursue his dream. For the numbers began quite we could build a new team. Good post Ronnie.

19 Jun 2017 14:32:17
Like a stopped clock, Ronnie is right.

A world record fee for a player who'll be 33 before the season starts, you're all off your heads on strawberry yazoo.

19 Jun 2017 14:44:28
Sorry ronnie but an absolutely woeful argument about the addidas/ nike thing. what the hell does that have to do with anything. If anything addidas would prefer to have ronaldo as it would sellmore shirts than dybala and morata combined.

Maybe I woke up on the wrong side of bed this morning but I hope the Club don't get embroiled in this Ronaldo nonsense, we all know how it ends!

I'd hate for us to lose sight of our objectives and throw our pre season preparations into turmoil.

Jose has given the Club his list of targets and in my opinion the Club should work hard to fulfil them asap.

Just because a player wants to leave doesn't mean the Club has to sell. He's under contract so he can cry and complain as much as he wants but if Madrid say he's not for sale he's going nowhere. They hold all the cards not Ronaldo and if they did decide to cash in surely the numbers being reported in the media wouldn't make financial sense.

If he loved us so much he wouldn't have left in the first place!

Thanks for the memories but man up, pay your tax bill and stop using our Club as your own personal negotiating puppet!

Surely this has less to do with tax and more to do with Messi's bumper new contract. It's not about the money, but what the money represents. The blokes a narcissist and he will want parity with Messi.

As a Utd fan our course I'd welcome him back, he's still the best in my opinion, but we still need other players and I just don't believe for one minute he has any intention of returning.

19 Jun 2017 15:04:40
I agree Danny. For the record I'd welcome him back with open arms purely because, if the best footballer on the planet becomes available you shouldn't ignore it. I also think it's complete and utter nonsense. He's using the love affair with United to his benefit, whether it's a new deal or this tax stuff. Woodward needs to get the other deals over the line and if Ronaldo is still there pining for a return come the end of the window then see what deal can be done. If the money men think they can get him after the original targets are signedthen so be it, sign him up.

Thing is where Ronnie is concerned you can't help but let emotion get in the way - personally I can't see what unfinished business he has here - I would also say the club is a lot lot different than it was under Fergies reign .

I think its a nice idea but I would concentrate on the original targets JM had - and not get distracted by Ronaldo.

Would take little Pea back though if he has learnt the offside rule, his head went down under LVG and he does have unfinished business here, I think he could have shown Martial a thing or two last season when it comes to effort and dedication to the shirt.

Have to agree with Ronnie, Danny and others. Madness to be talking about breaking the bank to bring back a 33 year old who chose to leave and spend his peak years at a European rival.

I think 4 years of suffering with an aging squad is enough and we are finally looking like a team that will only get better and better with a young core. To build a great team we need to bring through some of the youth who are good enough and buy the budding stars of the future. That has always been our recipe.

I suspect as usual our name gets dragged in for the purpose of whatever his camp is trying to get out of Madrid.

19 Jun 2017 15:30:20
Personally I don't think it will happen as Jose is a team builder which would not suit bringing in Ronaldo.
The money it would allegedly take is crazy and could better be spent setting other positions up for the next 5 years.
With all a that said. If we are still able to bring others in as well as him I would be cheering him on like a small boy at his first game. Would definitely set old Trafford a light.

19 Jun 2017 16:11:51
The only number that matters to me right now is goals scored.

Dybala would be a great long term signing in theory - but like almost every other top player before him I can see him wanting a move to one of the big Spanish teams in two or three years just as he starts hitting his peak (especially if we're still lagging behind them in European competition) .

Ronaldo would give us at least two good seasons of 20+ goals and hopefully create a platform of success for us to build on.

19 Jun 2017 17:10:37
Whatever the outcome (I personally think it's a done deal) it's got us all commenting on it. We can afford him and at least we can account for quite a lot of the Glazers money this summer instead of them taking it away from the club we can see it being spent on Ronaldo, Morata, Bakayoko , Lindelof, Willian, and Pericic. STAY SAFE DUDES 😆😆.

19 Jun 2017 17:29:12
Madrid would be laughing all the way to the bank. At his age a injury likes Ibrahimovic's and we're snookered.
ED002 has said it's more likely next summer he leaves.
