Reports today stating fellaini has rejected offers to extend contrqct with us.

Dont normally buy in to the rags news but i wreckon this is probably true.

Evenzidaneratesscholes

1.) 15 Nov 2017 14:51:53
why are we trying to get him to extend? he's not good enough for one and he doesn't want to be here for two. few good performances in a red shirt do not mean he's united quality

get rid in jan and bring in goretzka.

2.) 15 Nov 2017 15:29:21
Disagree completely redwhiskey.

Fellaini is very good for the position/ role he plays which is an impact sub and he's proven this time after time especially under jose.

But if he wants to start week in week out then yes, he will have to move on.

3.) 15 Nov 2017 16:03:02
He is 29 he wants to start regularly. It's his last big opportunity to negotiate a last big contract on his terms.
Does he want to be a impact sub here and be a cover player or does he want to get the same or more money at a lesser club or a big club in a lesser league.
He is a very good pro and has shown great attitude and professionalism during his time here and yes he does possess obvious and different attributes to other players but he is not my cup of tea. I respect him as a man and as a professional and jose rates him so i'm indifferent. If the manager wants him In the squad for next season then fine but if the player doesn't want to be here and wants to try something else I won't be disappointed.
Put yourself in his shoes 20 starts and 30 bench appearances at united is the best he can hope for and that's before united sign another midfielder in the summer. He knows he can't command a regular starting position so i would admire him if he chooses to move to Turkey to play weekly and this is his last chance to do that and command huge wages if he goes on a free or nominal fee.

4.) 15 Nov 2017 17:48:59
get real zidane. he was a poor buy and is nothing more than a pump it up option. anti football in my eyes. he is professional and tries hard but that is it. he papers over the cracks with the odd goal. if mourinho rated him so highly he'd be starting. the football were playing at the min is dross enough before bringing that overpaid hairy git on. let him leave for whatever we can get. he's not the answer for anything. if fellaini is the best we can hope for in terms of impact then its no wonder we're a laughing stock at the moment.

5.) 15 Nov 2017 18:48:05
He is no where near United quality, he gives so many fouls away when brought on to impact a game which always seems to break up our play. Personally would have sold a while ago but def take whatever we can get in jan.

6.) 15 Nov 2017 19:04:07
Twenty u need to look at the stats for fellaini and his fouls/ bookings for us over the last 2-3 years.

Sorry gents but IMO he is a positive for UTD if he's happy o be a sub and he obviously isn't happy with that.

7.) 15 Nov 2017 19:42:51
It says it all when we send him on to try and win a game by just lumping it forward for his elbows to give away a foul, I don’t need to look at stats I’ve witnessed with my own eyes on far to many occasions. It was a panic buy, one in which we actually ended up paying more than if we bought him sooner. If we really wanted to him we would have paid the cheaper price a month prior. That move made us look a bit stupid. Do you really think He would get in the Chelsea line up? City? Spurs? No! It was a big mistake from day one.

8.) 15 Nov 2017 19:48:21
Lol whiskey I've been listening how crap fellaini is for ages yet one of the most successful managers in the history of the game loves him, he walks into arguably the most talented individual team in Belgium and gives nothing less than 100 % everytime he puts a united shirt on and has delivered in some very nervy/ important moments for us .

What does this guy along with endless others have to do to be given a little respect from our "fans"? .

9.) 15 Nov 2017 20:00:03
Whiskey u have your opinion and i have mine (the stats on elbows and bookings are fact though) .

There are more than a few people on this site who see the value in him and there are some who dont. As i have said, IMO i would like him to stay.

10.) 15 Nov 2017 20:01:38
DEANo does this most successful manager really rate him? Someone you throw on to try and scrape a result? That’s not rating someone! If I rate someone I play him week in week out a certain starter. Free up the wage bill let him go and get someone better in. I would give 100% if I played for United doesn’t mean I deserve to be at the club.

11.) 15 Nov 2017 20:10:01
Deano - We are seriously low on combative midfielders. Jose was never going to let him go with no time to bring in alternatives. Saying Jose loves him is a bit OTT, he is needed. It's that simple. I'd be very surprised if Jose was managing PSG or anyone for that matter and he gave Fellaini a call. We need Fellaini right now, it that simple.

12.) 15 Nov 2017 21:57:07
In some games you need the physical player to get stuck in.
It's not all about fancy players.
Fellani is good for us in both boxes for set pieces and he as a bit of heart.

13.) 15 Nov 2017 22:44:36
Mourinho clearly rates him as a squad player and I'm fairly sure he probably is better placed to make the call than any of us.

14.) 15 Nov 2017 23:18:25
Exactly leahy and RW.

15.) 15 Nov 2017 23:42:59
Mourinho likes Fellaini as he does what he is told. Is Red Whiskey, Maze? Or a Liverpool supporter? If he mentions, Park the bus, Maureen or Hoofball, then we will know.

16.) 16 Nov 2017 00:04:58
🤣🤣 MAZE has been MIA for a while now even afyer some questionable performances.

17.) 16 Nov 2017 13:56:31
I am a united fan just don't see the point in keeping a player who doesn't wanna be here, is nowhere near good enough and was a terrible buy. i'm entitled to an opinion.

18.) 18 Nov 2017 06:44:38
Some said over here that in some games you need the physical player to get stuck in. I think you have enough physicality in your squad to not be depending on Fellaini :D Arguably the most physical squad in the league.

31 Aug 2017 21:41:10
Mahrez to chelski so willian to utd. would be a good move for us IMO.

08 Jul 2017 13:47:56
Dier is now our new 'latest link'

Is he what we need? And is it even a possibility?

Evenzidaneratesscholes

1.) 08 Jul 2017 14:22:38
I reckon Levy won't let it happen or he will prove to be really really not worthy of the transfer fees that we might want to pay for him.

2.) 08 Jul 2017 15:47:12
Won't be surprised to read that I don't rate Dier highly and wouldn't sign him. Poor use of the ball, switches off a lot and is another of those that would bring little to the table that TFM couldn't bring.

We need somebody comfortable on the ball imo, I'd play with Herrera deep and spend the money on Ramsey who will get goals, run all day, link midfield to attack brilliantly and possibly may be available for similar money after a poor season last year (guessing) . I know everyone will think this is stupid so no need to hammer me for that opinion.

Or I'd double up and go for Verrati, Pjanic or Vidal to actually bring some proven world class talent to the team!

3.) 08 Jul 2017 16:23:55
Actually i agree beast.

4.) 08 Jul 2017 16:24:03
Got to hammer you for suggesting injured all the time Ramsey.

5.) 08 Jul 2017 17:04:08
Beast none of those worldclass talents are cdm's.

6.) 08 Jul 2017 17:18:55
As a spurs fan it's interesting to read your thoughts on dier. Completely way off is probably the kindest thing to say, if you were to chat with a proper fan he'd tell you just as I would. He's our lynch pin. He's better than wanyama, better passer of the ball, a better tackler and reads the game better. Diers downfall is his versatility. He's covered both centre backs, covered walker at times, played as a three at the back and that was just last season, the season before when he played solely as a cdm he was immense! He is in fact a brilliant cdm. He allows dembele to drive forward more. We know he won't be going anywhere in the foreseeable future. But you guys have got it completely wrong about dier.

7.) 08 Jul 2017 18:46:09
Herrera is not suited to the deep role no chance.

8.) 08 Jul 2017 18:55:48
Sorry Beast, but that would be a chronic waste of Herrera. He offers everything Ramsey does in that role (well, fewer goals maybe but creates more chances too) and still wins the ball a lot.

Herrera as cdm is a useful option, but we really should be looking for a specialist there too free Herrera up.

An older cdm, who can hold the position for 2-3 years as TFM matures in an understudy role would be perfect IMO.

9.) 08 Jul 2017 20:48:41
Herrera has played the deep role very well this year.
These days you need a play maker in that role imo Carrick has been excellent there over the years.

10.) 08 Jul 2017 20:52:18
An older cdm. someone who knows the league, and would allow pogba and Herrera to play. if only someone like that was on our radar. Still, if they were, they'd probably be dismissed as a Chelsea reject anyway.

11.) 08 Jul 2017 21:59:27
Herrara is a fantastic player but is entering the final year of his contract. Would be delighted to see that sorted asap!

12.) 08 Jul 2017 22:26:43
Agree with beast, don't rate hi at all and don't want him. he is 5 yards sideway passer and levy and keep him. the weakest link in spurs midfield imo.

13.) 08 Jul 2017 22:35:23
Ive seen that me may also steal bakayoko from chealsea any opinions I don't really believe this but what do people think.

14.) 09 Jul 2017 00:44:31
Weakest link in our midfield x files? lol that's just being silly!

15.) 09 Jul 2017 12:16:32
Chiswick

He is Spurs weak link and who do play him instead off in our midfield?

He is grossly overrated like most young English players.

16.) 10 Jul 2017 13:06:38
He is NOT our weakest link at all, I see him nearly every week. I take it you don't? Thought so! He makes us tick absolutely solid.

3.) 18 Aug 2016 07:25:23
I belive font would give us decent cover at the back. Also reports suggesting that we may be in for Fabhino, Never seen him play if I'm honest. just hope it does not put TBH way down the pecking order.

04 Sep 2018 15:25:56
So for some, beating Burnley was something that should automatically happen (jeeezus)

And for some on here congratulations were something that we felt was due (myself included)

So, Watford. different animal THIS season so far. if we beat them will we all be impressed?

Evenzidaneratesscholes

1.) 04 Sep 2018 15:55:17
Man Utd should be beating Burnley, especially this season due to their issues juggling Europe and a very poor start.

I have not read one post criticising the performance, everyone has said we performed well. I think most people are not getting carried away because it was Burnley!

Watford will be a better win than Burnley (at this stage of the season from what I have seen), so if we beat Watford in the same manner I'm sure people will be more 'enthused', but again we are talking about Watford, not an elite team, despite their very good start.

I expect victory, has it really come to the point that we need to be 'impressed' if we beat them? Just how low have our standards dropped? I'd be impressed if we beat Liverpool or Man City, simply satisfied if we beat Watford playing good positive football.

2.) 04 Sep 2018 16:10:28
I'll be impressed if we beat city, Liverpool, Chelsea, juve. The likes of those sides, the ones the biggest and richest club should be competing with. Impressed for beating Burnley and Watford give me a break
2 clubs who will be happy to stay at n the division.

3.) 04 Sep 2018 16:17:02
What are you on about? Non of us said it should "automatically" happen. But some of us said that we are "expected" to beat Burnley, just like we were "expected" to beat Brighton and we didn't.
If we want to win the league, then Brighton and Burnley should be the more likely wins. Nothing automatic about it.
And if we beat Watford in their current form, then that'll be a great result.

4.) 04 Sep 2018 16:21:05
I think six points behind after 4 or 5 games means impressed is a bit of a stretch . I think we played well same as pretty much everyone else that's commented about the Burnley game and a win at Watford would suggest the ship is steadied .

5.) 04 Sep 2018 16:59:05
If (big if) Jose is finally taking the shackles off, and this in turn leads to more expansive football, will people be patient and give them time to adapt? Or is it too late for him to try and make drastic changes? For me, I'd be willing to put up with mediocre results (short term) in order to improve the brand of football long term.

6.) 04 Sep 2018 20:21:16
Some are showing patience and willing to give time already roon.

7.) 04 Sep 2018 20:50:57
We should be beating Burnley and like last season we should be beating all the top six teams as I have said before we will win most games this season and not get beaten in most . It's just the way he sets us up. 😆😆.

8.) 04 Sep 2018 21:04:25
Roon, he's had two seasons, mate. More than enough time to at least get us looking like a team, never mind an entertaining one. I really hoped he would, 'get, Utd, even though I had strong doubts. I have a horrible feeling it's too late now, but here's hoping.

9.) 04 Sep 2018 23:13:09
I reckon if we play entertaining football, create lots of chances and come up short (just scrape 4th) this season. Including some thrillers, then I think most would give him more time? Here's hoping for a roller coaster of a season.

10.) 05 Sep 2018 06:24:08
In the PL you have to fight for every single point. We all know that there are really no games where you just turn up and get the points.

I was really pleased with the Burnley performance as it was a massive turnaround from the Brighton debacle.

We totally dominated the game, defended well and attacked with more pace. If we had won 5-0 Burnley wouldn’t of complained.

That performance has given me hope for this season. The team looked more together than at Brighton.

I always enjoy any Utd win but this was one match. We need to kick on and put a run together.

28 Aug 2018 09:38:47
Just wondering,

Does the performance last night pleae some fans even tjough we lost?

We have had a results vs performance debate on here tine after tine and i wonder, IF we played all 90 mins like we did the first 45 but still lost 3-0, is that a hood result in some peoples opinions?

Evenzidaneratesscholes

1.) 28 Aug 2018 09:56:51
How about we played well and won games like every other top team?

2.) 28 Aug 2018 10:03:00
First 45 was a refreshing change, lots of good energy. Still minimal chance creation though. We still didn't commit men forward in numbers and the Lukaku golden opportunity was gifted by Rose - not from our creativity which was non-existent.

That said I liked several performances (I posted this last night but it didn't go up for some reason) . Second half we reverted to type and Spurs took their chance. We were fortunate to beat Leicester, deserved a beating by Brighton and over the 90mins deserved to lose to Spurs, although 3-0 flattered them.

Just wondering about the coaching and instructions. Games was in the balance at half time with us looking like we could win, then it just all seemed to stop. Shaw, Lingard and the energy of Fred were bonuses. First half I thought we might be turning a corner for the first time in a long time, alas it was only fleeting.

3.) 28 Aug 2018 10:04:45
It was good to see some high pressing from the team. But it all looked very new to them as they had no idea what to do next. We couldn't put 2 passes together so it's not anything new in terms style. The high pressing with no cover up and very little tactical knowledge looked like a disaster waiting to happen. I think it's better that Jose sticks to his style and not succumb to the pressure from fans. He and our players seem clueless as to how this type of football works.

4.) 28 Aug 2018 10:09:01
Agree jred BUT the debate that has split the posters on here was to choose one of performance or results.

I firmly sit on the results side and some posters sit on the performance side. I want to know if the performance half of this site are happy with last night?

5.) 28 Aug 2018 10:10:36
Beast, u summed that up bang on. There was a definite change at half time but unsure why.

6.) 28 Aug 2018 10:17:21
I firmly sit on the at well and won side .
Don't understand why it has to be one or the other.

7.) 28 Aug 2018 10:21:25
Nobody is going to take 3-0 defeats at home over results. Big teams who play well don't get beat 3-0 at home.

8.) 28 Aug 2018 10:42:18
Didnt u see these debates jred? They were done to death.

It was a hypothetical question, which do fans priotitise.

Of course we all pick both, absolutely obvious. But that's not what was asked and the opionions fell 50/ 50 on each side.

So i just wanted to know if if certain posters are happy with last night.

9.) 28 Aug 2018 11:26:08
But you are making a comparison based on flawed information. Last night was not a great performance, it was better but we were playing a better team so we got punished.

If we had played with the same energy against Brighton we would have been out of sight by half time. Spurs competed and then kicked on, we couldn't.

This loss didn't hurt as much as Brighton did, so I hope that answers your question.

10.) 28 Aug 2018 11:38:24
Scholes
I would be very surprised if people would like to see us get beat 3.0 .

We played well first half and it was 0.0
Would you rather it be 0.0 playing well and attacking or 0.0 with 10 men behind the ball .

Second half as a team we were poor so we got beat .

11.) 28 Aug 2018 11:42:19
Ezrs, to answer your question anyone would have taken a performance where we control the game, have more shots on target with their goalkeeper having the game of his life and us still losing 3-0. But that didn't happen. I don't know why people are trying to hype such a crap performance.

12.) 28 Aug 2018 12:12:42
I think it's a fair question but it's based on the assumption of play more attacking and we lose and play dour and we win . We have lost to spurs being a little more offensive but we lost to Brighton without attacking much until we trailed .
If you asked the same question after Brighton or Seville or whoever games then the supporters of the duznt matter how would probably feel similar to those advocating being more attacking now .
I'm guessing we would all like the same thing improved results and then style .

Just want to say

I love my club!

I said this on here about 4 years ago, randomly late one night (id had a few sherberts that night) .

Tonight i'm sober, sitting at home watching dross on TV.

Just a change from the on-going debates of late.

Evenzidaneratesscholes

1.) 23 Aug 2018 11:06:14
I love our club too!

Perhaps that's why we get so heated about it in discussions.

Fellaini gets stick even when he's played very well. Been happening since lvg days.

Jeeeezus

No he wohldnt get in to a team above keane and scholes, we did however have a few more options than just those 2 even in the glory days AND
God forbid it we even played some of them when keane or scholes couldnt. an he's not here for that.

Hes a UTD player, he comes on to make an impact and it works.
