Reports today stating fellaini has rejected offers to extend contrqct with us.

Dont normally buy in to the rags news but i wreckon this is probably true.

Evenzidaneratesscholes

1.) 15 Nov 2017 14:51:53
why are we trying to get him to extend? he's not good enough for one and he doesn't want to be here for two. few good performances in a red shirt do not mean he's united quality

get rid in jan and bring in goretzka.

2.) 15 Nov 2017 15:29:21
Disagree completely redwhiskey.

Fellaini is very good for the position/ role he plays which is an impact sub and he's proven this time after time especially under jose.

But if he wants to start week in week out then yes, he will have to move on.

3.) 15 Nov 2017 16:03:02
He is 29 he wants to start regularly. It's his last big opportunity to negotiate a last big contract on his terms.
Does he want to be a impact sub here and be a cover player or does he want to get the same or more money at a lesser club or a big club in a lesser league.
He is a very good pro and has shown great attitude and professionalism during his time here and yes he does possess obvious and different attributes to other players but he is not my cup of tea. I respect him as a man and as a professional and jose rates him so i'm indifferent. If the manager wants him In the squad for next season then fine but if the player doesn't want to be here and wants to try something else I won't be disappointed.
Put yourself in his shoes 20 starts and 30 bench appearances at united is the best he can hope for and that's before united sign another midfielder in the summer. He knows he can't command a regular starting position so i would admire him if he chooses to move to Turkey to play weekly and this is his last chance to do that and command huge wages if he goes on a free or nominal fee.

4.) 15 Nov 2017 17:48:59
get real zidane. he was a poor buy and is nothing more than a pump it up option. anti football in my eyes. he is professional and tries hard but that is it. he papers over the cracks with the odd goal. if mourinho rated him so highly he'd be starting. the football were playing at the min is dross enough before bringing that overpaid hairy git on. let him leave for whatever we can get. he's not the answer for anything. if fellaini is the best we can hope for in terms of impact then its no wonder we're a laughing stock at the moment.

5.) 15 Nov 2017 18:48:05
He is no where near United quality, he gives so many fouls away when brought on to impact a game which always seems to break up our play. Personally would have sold a while ago but def take whatever we can get in jan.

6.) 15 Nov 2017 19:04:07
Twenty u need to look at the stats for fellaini and his fouls/ bookings for us over the last 2-3 years.

Sorry gents but IMO he is a positive for UTD if he's happy o be a sub and he obviously isn't happy with that.

7.) 15 Nov 2017 19:42:51
It says it all when we send him on to try and win a game by just lumping it forward for his elbows to give away a foul, I don’t need to look at stats I’ve witnessed with my own eyes on far to many occasions. It was a panic buy, one in which we actually ended up paying more than if we bought him sooner. If we really wanted to him we would have paid the cheaper price a month prior. That move made us look a bit stupid. Do you really think He would get in the Chelsea line up? City? Spurs? No! It was a big mistake from day one.

8.) 15 Nov 2017 19:48:21
Lol whiskey I've been listening how crap fellaini is for ages yet one of the most successful managers in the history of the game loves him, he walks into arguably the most talented individual team in Belgium and gives nothing less than 100 % everytime he puts a united shirt on and has delivered in some very nervy/ important moments for us .

What does this guy along with endless others have to do to be given a little respect from our "fans"? .

9.) 15 Nov 2017 20:00:03
Whiskey u have your opinion and i have mine (the stats on elbows and bookings are fact though) .

There are more than a few people on this site who see the value in him and there are some who dont. As i have said, IMO i would like him to stay.

10.) 15 Nov 2017 20:01:38
DEANo does this most successful manager really rate him? Someone you throw on to try and scrape a result? That’s not rating someone! If I rate someone I play him week in week out a certain starter. Free up the wage bill let him go and get someone better in. I would give 100% if I played for United doesn’t mean I deserve to be at the club.

11.) 15 Nov 2017 20:10:01
Deano - We are seriously low on combative midfielders. Jose was never going to let him go with no time to bring in alternatives. Saying Jose loves him is a bit OTT, he is needed. It's that simple. I'd be very surprised if Jose was managing PSG or anyone for that matter and he gave Fellaini a call. We need Fellaini right now, it that simple.

12.) 15 Nov 2017 21:57:07
In some games you need the physical player to get stuck in.
It's not all about fancy players.
Fellani is good for us in both boxes for set pieces and he as a bit of heart.

13.) 15 Nov 2017 22:44:36
Mourinho clearly rates him as a squad player and I'm fairly sure he probably is better placed to make the call than any of us.

14.) 15 Nov 2017 23:18:25
Exactly leahy and RW.

15.) 15 Nov 2017 23:42:59
Mourinho likes Fellaini as he does what he is told. Is Red Whiskey, Maze? Or a Liverpool supporter? If he mentions, Park the bus, Maureen or Hoofball, then we will know.

16.) 16 Nov 2017 00:04:58
🤣🤣 MAZE has been MIA for a while now even afyer some questionable performances.

17.) 16 Nov 2017 13:56:31
I am a united fan just don't see the point in keeping a player who doesn't wanna be here, is nowhere near good enough and was a terrible buy. i'm entitled to an opinion.

31 Aug 2017 21:41:10
Mahrez to chelski so willian to utd. would be a good move for us IMO.

Evenzidaneratesscholes

08 Jul 2017 13:47:56
Dier is now our new 'latest link'

Is he what we need? And is it even a possibility?

Evenzidaneratesscholes

1.) 08 Jul 2017 14:22:38
I reckon Levy won't let it happen or he will prove to be really really not worthy of the transfer fees that we might want to pay for him.

2.) 08 Jul 2017 15:47:12
Won't be surprised to read that I don't rate Dier highly and wouldn't sign him. Poor use of the ball, switches off a lot and is another of those that would bring little to the table that TFM couldn't bring.

We need somebody comfortable on the ball imo, I'd play with Herrera deep and spend the money on Ramsey who will get goals, run all day, link midfield to attack brilliantly and possibly may be available for similar money after a poor season last year (guessing) . I know everyone will think this is stupid so no need to hammer me for that opinion.

Or I'd double up and go for Verrati, Pjanic or Vidal to actually bring some proven world class talent to the team!

3.) 08 Jul 2017 16:23:55
Actually i agree beast.

4.) 08 Jul 2017 16:24:03
Got to hammer you for suggesting injured all the time Ramsey.

5.) 08 Jul 2017 17:04:08
Beast none of those worldclass talents are cdm's.

6.) 08 Jul 2017 17:18:55
As a spurs fan it's interesting to read your thoughts on dier. Completely way off is probably the kindest thing to say, if you were to chat with a proper fan he'd tell you just as I would. He's our lynch pin. He's better than wanyama, better passer of the ball, a better tackler and reads the game better. Diers downfall is his versatility. He's covered both centre backs, covered walker at times, played as a three at the back and that was just last season, the season before when he played solely as a cdm he was immense! He is in fact a brilliant cdm. He allows dembele to drive forward more. We know he won't be going anywhere in the foreseeable future. But you guys have got it completely wrong about dier.

7.) 08 Jul 2017 18:46:09
Herrera is not suited to the deep role no chance.

8.) 08 Jul 2017 18:55:48
Sorry Beast, but that would be a chronic waste of Herrera. He offers everything Ramsey does in that role (well, fewer goals maybe but creates more chances too) and still wins the ball a lot.

Herrera as cdm is a useful option, but we really should be looking for a specialist there too free Herrera up.

An older cdm, who can hold the position for 2-3 years as TFM matures in an understudy role would be perfect IMO.

9.) 08 Jul 2017 20:48:41
Herrera has played the deep role very well this year.
These days you need a play maker in that role imo Carrick has been excellent there over the years.

10.) 08 Jul 2017 20:52:18
An older cdm. someone who knows the league, and would allow pogba and Herrera to play. if only someone like that was on our radar. Still, if they were, they'd probably be dismissed as a Chelsea reject anyway.

11.) 08 Jul 2017 21:59:27
Herrara is a fantastic player but is entering the final year of his contract. Would be delighted to see that sorted asap!

12.) 08 Jul 2017 22:26:43
Agree with beast, don't rate hi at all and don't want him. he is 5 yards sideway passer and levy and keep him. the weakest link in spurs midfield imo.

13.) 08 Jul 2017 22:35:23
Ive seen that me may also steal bakayoko from chealsea any opinions I don't really believe this but what do people think.

14.) 09 Jul 2017 00:44:31
Weakest link in our midfield x files? lol that's just being silly!

15.) 09 Jul 2017 12:16:32
Chiswick

He is Spurs weak link and who do play him instead off in our midfield?

He is grossly overrated like most young English players.

16.) 10 Jul 2017 13:06:38
He is NOT our weakest link at all, I see him nearly every week. I take it you don't? Thought so! He makes us tick absolutely solid.

Southampton have said that fonte is going nowhere! Interview with sly sports.

2.) 17 Aug 2016 18:58:40
Yep! let's just gy manolas!

3.) 18 Aug 2016 07:25:23
I belive font would give us decent cover at the back. Also reports suggesting that we may be in for Fabhino, Never seen him play if I'm honest. just hope it does not put TBH way down the pecking order.

"With Paul, you can see that there was - and now I can speak now because he's back - but you can clearly see Manchester United this season before Paul's injury and after Paul's injury. "

"There are qualities in our football that influence our approach in matches, with Pogba and without Pogba, that's as simple as that. "

Quote from jose about pogba.

Ive seen posts on here to this effect and but now I've seen jose actuallt say this i wonder was our aproach to the games he's missed actually because jose relies on pogba so much for our attacking threat?

Evenzidaneratesscholes

1.) 17 Nov 2017 15:56:13
Not for just his attacking threat but the fact also that pogba is really the only player at the club who can find the balance between taking risks and playing it safe.

We have players in midfield like matic, herrera and fellaini who really only pass sideways or back and keep possession and players like micky and martial who struggle to keep hold of the ball for any prolonged period of time because they are more attack minded.

Pogba really was an turning into an all round midfielder at the start of the season, good passing range long and short, great at carrying the ball forward and shielding it and most importanly he was beginning to affect the game in the final third with goals and assists.

2.) 17 Nov 2017 16:22:58
Yes got to admit he seemed to b the link between the middle and last 3rd of the pitch.

05 Nov 2017 13:34:48
Just watching the spurs game and for all of tge poch fans on here, palace are more than holding their own.

Infact, zaha should have had 2 goals by now.

Really can't see spurs winning a trophy this season and where would that leave poch in terms of a manager?

Evenzidaneratesscholes

1.) 05 Nov 2017 13:46:18
Because they've been poor today he's a bad manager? Top class manager for me. He has considerably less resources than Jose, pep, etc. Once Jose has gone I'd be more than happy with Poch.

2.) 05 Nov 2017 13:52:44
I agree on the one point stand I would be more than happy with poch after jose with the caveat that he wins something soon.

Spurs have not been good today if you were a palace fan you would be devastated to come from this game with nothing.

Also if lukaku had a game like kane had today he would be crucified by everyone.

3.) 05 Nov 2017 14:03:25
No i'm not saying today makes him a bad manager. Todays game just highlights how they aren't necessarily playing as well as some think (for now)

What i meant was IF he wins nothing again this season, hypothetically of course - then where would that leave him? Would you guys want him at UTD?

4.) 05 Nov 2017 14:46:22
Be happy with who we already have. Jose is a winner.

Until he goes support him and stop melting over what ifs.

5.) 05 Nov 2017 14:49:59
👍 FZZ.

6.) 05 Nov 2017 14:52:55
Good point FZZ. Fully agree.

03 Nov 2017 23:23:33
We have won more in the last two years than Spurs have in the last 25,Liverpool in the last decade, and as much as City have managed since Roberto Mancini

And that's with a manager that some on here would swap and whom can't wait fir our next new shiny manager.

Yes it would be nice to be scori g 3 and conceding 1 every game and winnjng it all but realistically its winning first, aesthetics second.

Evenzidaneratesscholes

1.) 04 Nov 2017 00:25:05
We're you saying the same after LvG lifted the fa cup?

2.) 04 Nov 2017 00:55:19
People were moaning when we were scoring 4 and conceding Nil. We hadn't played any good teams.

Some people just don't like Jose and it doesn't matter what he does, or what he wins, it Won't be 4-4-2 In the 90's when footballing perfection was achieved.

3.) 04 Nov 2017 05:56:51
That is the whole bloody point. Its the "unliking of Jose" that stems the discusiion here. There needs to be something to moan about. When we are winning, pick on the style and moan about entertainment. People are just sad.

4.) 04 Nov 2017 07:10:37
Correct shan.

5.) 04 Nov 2017 08:21:57
It's just boring isn't it lads the way some behave you would think that we wasn't in the middle of our best start to a season for years.

Most of the less than inspiring performances have neatly coincided with us being without our best player yet we have held it together aside from the Huddersfield blip and shown grit, determination and character when needed.

Take away the other so called great sides players and see how they do, would the all conquering city have won as many games without de bruyne? Would spurs even be in the top half without kane?

I'm not Mourinho biggest fan never have been tbh he sometimes really gets on my tits with his moaning but I'm very grateful he has our club back on track and winning stuff again and if that means a few lacklustre performances that we still come out of with points I'm happy to accept it.

6.) 04 Nov 2017 09:24:40
Personally I'm okay with the Mourinho appointment and him staying as manager. My only criticism is how he set up against Liverpool. Didn't think it was necessary. Far too defensive and thought we should have had a go as they were there for the taking. I'm not too fussed about the games not being so good to watch. I think in time that will come.

7.) 04 Nov 2017 09:31:18
I agree season has started well with one blip only. Keep up the good work fellas. I, for one, like seeing United win.

8.) 04 Nov 2017 09:35:57
I think too much is being made of this. No one is asking for Jose to go or anything, just a few people are highlighting that at times, his football is very defensive. I think fans would prefer for us to go out and attack teams. But as has been pointed out, we expected this when he was appointed.

Apologies if we don't all have a mourinho poster on our bedroom walls with a box of Kleenex at the ready on our bedside tables.

9.) 04 Nov 2017 09:37:15
Yeah we could have set up more adventurous against Liverpool we also could have lost against Liverpool personally I would rather jump off a cliff than ever see that bunch beat us so I'm completely over it and I would be perfectly happy if were crap tomorrow and come away with the points .

When we are champions again maybe we can afford to be a bit more cavalier but this year we must win at all costs and I'm down with that I understand it.

10.) 04 Nov 2017 09:50:58
If Lukaku burries that chance against Mignolet, we win 1-0 and Jose's plan worked. Similar to Spurs.

11.) 04 Nov 2017 09:55:23
Deano - We could have lost against Liverpool playing the way we did. They had good chances which they squandered. It's not as though we parked the bus and gave them no opportunities, we parked the bus and they had chances they failed to take.

12.) 04 Nov 2017 10:16:55
I can only remember them having one decent chance Syd the same as us .

13.) 04 Nov 2017 10:21:36
Shan - Our set up against Spurs and Liverpool were completely different. Against Liverpool we didn't play and just put 11 men behind the ball, against Spurs we gave them a game and attacked.

Completely different games. Completely different set ups.

14.) 04 Nov 2017 10:29:20
Not true Deano. They had a few and they breached our area a lot and ball put across our six yard box a couple times with our defenders flapping. Of course these occasions aren't documented in game stats.

Anyway we should move on from the Liverpool game. It wasn't great from us, but it's gone now. We stopped them from reducing our gap by 3 points. (only good thing from that game) .

15.) 04 Nov 2017 10:32:41
There has been folk on here asking jose to leave and they can't wait to see the back of him.

16.) 04 Nov 2017 10:35:53
I want us to approach the game against the top sides like we did against Spurs, not Liverpool. If we went into the game against Liverpool playing like we did against Spurs, I genuinely believe we would have beaten them. At worst a draw. Maybe Bailly getting injured prevented Jose from playing like the way we did against Spurs? I hope that's the case. Bailly fit would have meant three at the back. I just think Liverpool were there for the taking. We actually made them look good when they are not that good.

17.) 04 Nov 2017 10:41:19
The set up was similar in both games we just played better in spurs games and got the goal .
Ali had a better chance than any of the Liverpool ones but thankfully didn't take it .

18.) 04 Nov 2017 11:01:46
It was similar in the sense that in every game a team defends and attacks, that's where the similarity ends. We attacked against Spurs in numbers, from the start. Two completely different approaches and two different outcomes. How we played against Spurs is how we always play under Jose, against Liverpool was put 11 behind the ball and protect a draw. Embarrassing. How can you nick a goal when you commit two players in an attack against 7 Liverpool players. Two completely different approaches. Hence the criticism worldwide.

19.) 04 Nov 2017 11:11:13
Anyway let's hope we see some football against Chelsea, this is another game I believe we can win. A game I believe we should attack in numbers also. We can defend well and attack too, we seen it against Spurs.

20.) 04 Nov 2017 11:38:21
If Ali had scored and martial hadn't all the same people would be saying the same things .
Amazing how goals and results change people's perspective.

21.) 04 Nov 2017 11:47:05
Not true Jred, we were watching the game and commenting on it live. It was a much better performance throughout and game plan was much more positive, irrespective of result.

Anyway it doesn't matter now. You expected a win against Liverpool, how do you see tomorrow playing out? I think we can win this one personally. And it may be Conte's final game if we win.

22.) 04 Nov 2017 12:01:05
Syd
Big game United are capable of beating anyone on there day but so are Chelsea.

The players played better against spurs shame they where so poor against the scouse.

23.) 04 Nov 2017 12:32:41
Lukaku has struggled lately, I think losing Pogba has had a bigger effect than we have realised. We were lucky to have Fellaini on amazing form, then he gets injured. I think we will see a refreshed MU when Pogba, Fellaini (if stays) and Ibra return. I mean confidence alone we will feel stronger with these characters in the side. Big characters physically and mentally.

31 Oct 2017 23:02:56
Dont get to see cl games now i wrk noons BUT I've seen the result and watched some highlights and i'm chuffed to bits we have won again with a clean sheet.

Keep it up!
