Personally I don't think we should sign Pogba, the fees are far too high, he is still inconsistent and he doesn't want to play in England.
But someone one mentioned something to me today. Maybe Pogba is Rooney's replacement.
With Zlatan, Martial and Rashford ahead of Rooney as a striker, he will be pushed into midfield.
Pogba would therefore be a challenger for his starting spot. And can you see the club spending close to 100m to stick the player on the bench for a player who isn't even playing in his favoured position?
What if the club agrees to sell Rooney to China for 50-60m then bought Pogba for 80-90m?
Would that be a good deal? Well if Rooney leaves the club would need a marketable player to replace him. Pogba would fit the bill. Also his wage demands wouldn't be that much of an issue if Rooney was off the wage bill.

We could the buy pogba and still have 100 mil left to spend .

What if we sold Bastian to China for 60 mill as well we could then go for verrati .
You would think Rooney was the only player United have some times .
I'm not sure we will get pogba but I wouldn't be surprised if we spent all summer trying .
There are pros and cons to the deal but pogba is a good player.
By the way 60 mil for Rooney would be a great deal for United but I think it is more likely he will play the same role fabergas did when Chelsea won the league, advanced cm or deep play maker .
Guess we will find out soon.

Maybe Rooney doesn't want to go to China with his young family and let's face it he is way above that level.
Unfortunately they are the only ones that would pay a large fee and can afford his wages But I don't see it happening.
They're are few enough players in the world who can help elevate our team into challengers / winners for the title straight away. I think in ibra and pogba we could sign 2 of them and four circa 90m that's not too bad.
I for one think by the end of next season a midfield 2 of Tfm and pogba would be awesome. Backed up by Morgan and Bastian herrera carrick.
With any 3 from rashford Miki martial lingard Rooney depay in front if them. And a choice of ibra rashford martial or Rooney up top
Its pretty strong with plenty of options.
Personally I'm not yet convinced by darmian and they're seems to be a lit of links with other clubs. So we might see a rb targeted as well as a cb
I can see darmian Mata rojo fellaini sadly blind young and varela all being sold if we get pogba a cb and a rb
I would still like Coleman to be our right back.

Rooney is not and never wii be a midfield player and for people to compare him to scholes are either having a laugh or tak8ng the pi s he has played some good passes against average teams against the big boys he will be found wanting a great servant to the club but time like with everybody has caught up with him.

Rooney is not like a Lineker or Bale. He is a home bird ditto his wife. Especially with his young family there is zero chance of him going to China. The only possible move away I could see for him would be to his first love Everton.

AC Milan could afford Rooney surely, when and if they get successfully taken over. And he would suit the Italian league by far but I doubt they'd pay 60M, Maybe 30M if we're lucky!

I could see that as the only real optionfor him Hereford. With their investment new owners and ambition with RK they might want a statement type signing and iy would be a real coup for them but we would get a Mindanao fee. Perhaps at the end off next season or in Jan if He is it if the team.
But then again if he is in great form and enjoying enjoying Indian summer under Jose that's great for us so onthe balance of it I think he deserves the opportunity to get back to good form and its up to him to take it.

Only place I can see Rooney going is to LA. Not quite sure if that will be to the Galaxy or the Premiere of Shrek 5!
I think we are stuck with him (and I say that in terms of wages) . Our bench will probably be earning double most teams first 11 next season.

Rooney in the fabregas role jred? That's all well and good if Rooney is actually able to play that role. I think both watching him play there in and England and United shirt, it's an easy conclusion to see he is just not good enough there. Whatever people think about him playing at No.10 or upfront, which has become a major debate, he is nowhere near good enough to play the 'fabregas' role.

pogba is not worth it. he good. but not that good. if he was that good fergie would not have let him leave without a fight to try and keep him.
andre gomez his a better option. cheaper and will do the same job. also can cdm can get 2 players for less than fee for wat juv want for pogba.

Not going to disagree with let's just wait and see where jose plays him.
By the way do you think fabergas is good enough to play that role .

Shappy, I really don't think Pogba is half as marketable as Rooney is.
