I'm sure it's all paper talk, but I find the rumours that we might be selling Blind a bit strange. We need two CBs in my opinion as smalling and Jones are not up to the task. But Blind is so versatile and can cover as CB. So why sell him? I'll sell Jones and keep Blind.

Blind does not fit the physical profile in mourinhos idea of a centre back as most expected.
Jones for all his injury concerns does though and even rojo i would assume would be above blind in the centre back department which says it all really.
Also if you factor in that blind was very much an LVG man and probably the biggest link to the previous regime. Its not suprising mourinho wants to cut ties with him as reported.
{Ed004's Note - I reckon we will see the biggest changes made to our centre back line now. Could actually see 2 players coming in such as (2 of) Manolas, Varane, Stones or Marquinhos with Blind, Rojo and Jones going. It'll be Smalling competing with 2 others and potential Oxford (if there is interest) and Mensah able to step up. Assuming we've an interest in Oxford and them players. Think I read somewhere Mourinho likes to have atleast 6 players around 6 foot. He would atleast have a tall back line if Mensah played RB as well}

Ed004 with shaw being 6 foot and mensah as you mentioned playing rb we could have a back 6 which fit mourinhos height requirements.
Also do you see marquinhos and varane being available to sign this summer? Certainly in the latters case real don't seem stupid enough to get rid of the best defender of his age group, with pepe the wrong age of 30 it doesn't add up to me.
I honestly think mourinho will take a liking to jones even more than smalling perhaps. Also with him not being at the euros he has a head start on his competitors come pre season time.
{Ed004's Note - However, Jones is not reliable in the slightest. I can't think of any player Mourinho has consistently relied on that is as injury prone as Jones. I think Schneidlerin is 6ft as well so as long as one more player in the attacking positions is tall we would easily hit Mourinho criteria (Zlatan maybe?)}

Forget Jones. We've had several seasons of disappointment with him. He is a sick note.
I just think Blind will be handy and should not be sold.
{Ed004's Note - I would like to see Blind kept but I could see him not suiting Mourinho style of play}
