very impressed with spurs today they could be very much in the mix come end of season
a huge game on sat v lecester city
a win would be a enormous win a really give the lads a huge confidrnce boost and put us top with a easy enough pile of fixtures for the dec period after sat against lec
the fixture on the 28 dec seems to be the only bannana skin facing us in dec.

Agree4 Disagree0

Believe Westham at OT and stoke away are going to be difficult fixtures for us as they match up well against us and can give us problems defensively before we get to the Chelsea game on the 28th.

Spurs will be burnt out come April just like they were last season, yes they're on a good run but it won't last, can't see them too near us by the end of the season.

Their squad is bigger with more quality this year Andy, and if they can get another striker in Jan, they'll be in with a big shout for the top 4.

{Ed002's Note - They are certainly looking at a striker for January.}

They look good and played with pace and verve. It's is a very odd season with Chelsea all over the place and City and Arsenal dropping points. If we can keep accumulating points then we will be in the mix. Interested to see how we cope with a pacy direct team like Leicester.

They have more depth this year yes, but I'm not totally convinced about the quality. Midfield for example Dier and Alli will be top players but they are inexperienced, and then you have mason and dembele who are a bit hit and miss for me. Lamela is still inconsistent. Eriksen is class but if you take care of him and Kane then for me you keep spurs quiet.
Their high pressing game can work really well but it knackers the players by the end of the season, look at how all poch's teams have faded at the end of the season over the last few years.

Everton, Spurs and Liverpool all are a much bigger threat than they have been for ages. Top 7 or 8 (Leicester) will be very close this year.

Is berahino the striker they are looking at ed?

Does MU have any interest in him?

{Ed002's Note - Try the Spurs page Dave.}

I can see ourselves and Spurs going for Berahino in January as a back up for Martial and Kane respectively.

Going undefeated and the only defeat being an own goal in a game against us where we managed one shot on goal is not a fluke. I have never understood why our fans write teams off. They have been the most consistent team and seem to have a deep young team, good goalie and back 4, good manager and score goals and all the ingredients to surprise many non believers.

For me they are mush more polished and a real than Liverpool or Everton. I think Leicester will fall off the pace.

Gcu how can they have been the most consistent team when there is 4 teams ahead of them in the table. After 13 games Leicester are the most consistent team.

If Chelsea conintue to struggle then I feel it will be Spurs who takes advantage and claim their UCL place.

Liverpool are just starting a new transition with Klopp. He will improve them, but I'm not sure we will really see the effect of that until next season.

Everton are playing well, but have quite a drop off in quality once their first choice players aren't available. I know you can say the same for Spurs but the players who they do bring in hace similar qualities to those that drop out meaning a change in how they play isn't needed when they get a few injuries.

Would also like to mention Moussa Dembele who I feel has been the best player in the league so far this season along with De Gea. Pure class player and should have hit these heights years ago.

Spurs will be there near the end but going by history I will always question thier bottle and mentality when the going gets tough.

Ken

They have lost one game this year and been most consistent out of everyone and had it not been for poor finishing they would have quite a few more points. They actually create quite a few really good chances but don't score as many as they should. We don't create enough clear goal opportunities IMO.

Anyways time will tell but would not surprise me one bit if they get into the mix at the top and not just for top 4.

So is it just their finishing that's inconsistent then? Lol.
