Regarding Di Maria getting a red card and Joe Hart not getting one for a similar incident with Michael Oliver earlier in the season - Is it not logical to assume Oliver made a mistake in not sending off Hart earlier in the season when he should have and has learned from that error when he sent Di Maria off this time? Good refereeing in my opinion. We can't complain about refereeing standards in general but get upset when a referee makes a call (the right call) against us. Di Maria should have known better and hopefully he will learn from it.

Adnan needs to take a look at himself as well. He is beginning to embarrass himself with the diving. Worse still if he stays on his feet it's a very good chance.

he did not have a good game (not a bad one either), but we have been spoon fed reasons why this was a good decision without anyone actually knowing what the offense was that led to a second YELLOW.

As Damon said he may of actually done us a favour but i feel somewhere in that melee there was a mistake, wether it was for us or against us we don't know yet.

Dissent normally is delt with by a warning and then a yellow, violent or aggressive behaviour is a red. I don't and don't think anyone does know what Oliver issued the quick second yellow for yet.

Like I said I have no problem with Oliver giving ADM a straight red if he felt threatened but the yellow seems to go against this notion. So my feeling is he acted rashly in giving a quick second yellow after he seemingly gave Bellerin a reprieve 5 mins before allowing Wenger to act and straight away whip him off.

It's inconsistencies that drive me mad and I felt from the 60th min onwards he lost control of the game management.

This is from a ref that was quick to punish Shawcross earlier in the season and since has not continued in his actions at pulling on set plays, its from a ref that allowed Joe Hart to push his head into his and got nothing. It's from a ref that in the city game was very quick to give a second yellow against smalling. This is all from one ref and I fear for the standard in this league atm.
John moss is another awful ref that seemingly just guesses or gives free kicks to whoever shouts the loudest. Kevin friend needs someone to be break a leg in the box to give a pen, And Clattenberg well he just makes odd decisions all the time but at least he is confident in his decisions.

{Ed002's Note - He pulled the refs shirt - it is simple.}

Chris you seem like a passionate guy mate but like the Ed said he put his hands on the ref and rightly got his marching orders. I think the positive is that the ref gave him a yellow as a straight red would mean a three game ban. Let's hope the week off does the lad some good.
