Here we are at the squeaky bum time of the season and we have a big final ahead of us. I’m very competitive but if we don’t win I can guarantee I won’t start crying. When did this phenomenon start? As teams get relegated we are treated to endless shots of children and grown men and women crying. I worry people have lost all perspective on life when a game of football has this effect on them.

Yeh agreed mate i find it so pathetic when people cry over football. Much more important things in life. No matter how much I love united there are always things that happen which things in perspective and make you realise football is just a game. Hope we secure the cup and go into the summer with good vibes. But not the end of the world.

Well said boys that's why i don't get why people get so personal when discussing football. There is a lot more then football in life.

Maybe they are having a hard time in life and football is the only thing they care about at the moment?

Fans are crying as the players/ managers responsible are phoning their agents with glee - "now we got relegated what percentage do I get for a transfer Mr. Agent? "!

Football means different things to different people - but a generation ago I would have been more upset in defeat and conversely happy in victory - now I'm kind of flat lining irrespective and it's because football has lost it's soul at the top level. Remember our lads on the coach before West Ham in the cup, or after games we lose when they are laughing and joking with their supposed opponent seconds after the final whistle blows!

These cryers will only do it once, then they will realise that even the people it is meant to effect most couldn't give a rat's backside and they will understand they were silly to let it effect their life in the negative - just use football for the positives (if you can find many at the moment) .

Football is a religion to some people.
How many of you big boys shed a tear when we won the Champions League '98/ 99'? I cried like a baby and I was 29 then, one of the greatest feeling of my life.
