I see a lot of chatter about Mbappe here.
So here is a question for you. Had Martial been in that Monaco team, would he have not achieved the same? I think he would of, he has very similar talent and excellent finishing composure.
May be controversial, but would love to see what you think.

No Martial doesn't have any character for me. Just seems disinterested all the time.
Fans really over rated him i feel as well in his first season, he was just lucky he was the best of a crap team.

Martial is a fantastic dribbler and a decent finisher. However as good as he is with the ball imo he is very poor off the ball. That side of his game can improve with good coaching but most importantly with his will to learn, practise and put I the hours off hard work and dedication.
I'm not sure he will ever gel with jose they are complete opposites on the face of it.
Id love to loan him to barcelona for a year i think he would come beck a different player.

Agree fresh, if martial was in last years monaco team there would be huge clamour for us to sign him for an exorbitant transfer fee.
Just needs a run of games next season and backing from the manager to showcase the talent we all know he has.

I am reminded of Mick Jagger's response in the Rutles, the Beatles parody, when asked why the Rutles broke up. He said, "women". It seems to me that Martial is very immature in this respect and cannot as yet set aside his emotions, allowing them to dominate his mental state. He has more money than is good for kid of his age and this exacerbates the problem. He obviously has talent, the question is whether he can develop a Ronaldoesque commitment.

If martial was playing in that very good attack minded Monaco team people would be raving about him.
He would fit the Monaco team better than the united team at the moment.

Uniteds problem for the last 2 seasons is that we haven't set the team up to exploit our attackers more to protect our deficiencies. Get playing some front foot football where our wide attacker is not in touching distance of our fullback and we might start to see the goals return.

I disagree ed, if he had been left to develop at Monaco I think he would of improved more as a player, just like a lot of the other Monaco players have .
Moved very young for a lot of money to a new league and country and has gone backwards a bit, this season I thought he was good last season Which can happen .
But he has all the attributes to do well in that Monaco team and would of been a good fit imo .

Different player than Silva it will be interesting to see how he does in the Epl tho, should suit pep tho.
I don't think Lemar is any better than martial to be honest .
Not sure how Monaco would of looked if they never had the martial cash, but martial playing at the top of his game (like a lot of the Monaco players this year ) in that team and set up would of looked great .
It seems there is a clamour to buy every Monaco player this summer .
Fans would be raving about him just like they where in his first season at united .
And just like they are about most of the Monaco players .
I think he would be a better fit in the Monaco team than united .

{Ed001's Note - I give up, you are missing the point that they achieved something, not midtable mediocrity, the raving is because they performed brilliantly on the highest stage. Martial was a fringe player for United, Lemar was a first choice player for Monaco as they won Ligue 1 and made a huge impression in the Champions League. There is a huge difference, to those without delusions anyway. Martial would not get into that team to be raved about. I don't think I'm biased at all .
People rave about fabinho on here a player we must buy . I'm not that impressed to be honest .
But he is doing well in a good team, not sure he would do as well elsewhere .
People as you say raved about martial last season why would they not if he was at Monaco .
Players like Carillo and Germain played and scored for Monaco so for me martial would of got game time .
Monaco have been great this season and suddenly all there players ate world-class and everyone is raving about them . Not sure that will be the case next season .
There will be a new flavour of the month .

Ed I think you have also got this one wrong and most of this page would agree. No doubt the Monaco boys were superb last season but AM does have plenty of talent.
