Demi Mitchell was fantastic today, Harrop for his goal and Angel Gomes for his age will take the headlines but watch Mitchell looks like the one closet to the first team.

Positioning was good, Zaha had a quite game, great pass to Rooney, overlapping runs - the kid has it all.

Most remarkably he has only been playing Left Back this season.

Tuanzabe and Fosu looked excellent also but they are little more experienced.

Thought Mou let himself down again today and I'm getting bored of his snaked arse antics.

As an advocate to get Mou I can 100% say he is the wrong man for us regardless of trophies.

The young lads who played today won't get a look in next season. The club will waste money on squad players rather than looking at U23s and Mou will play defensive. Have you noticed our full backs rarely cross the half way line?

Let's hope we play the way Man Utd do rather than grinding a 1-0. but this season we will take what we can get.

I think he should of give the young lads some praise .
Not doing a lap with the players seems odd.

Mourinho will play these lads again maybe in EFL cup next season they are too good not to. The future is bright Gomes is going to be a Worldie 😆😆.

Mitchell was always one of the ones that people thought would eventually break through, but he seemed to have fallen down the pecking order over the last couple of seasons. Glad to see him play well today, and give a reminder of his ability. Delighted for Harrop, too. One of those young, local players that tends to get overlooked a little, as we all clamour for the next sexy, young foreign kid.

{Ed007's Note - And so it begins.... First one to say Mitchell will be the best LB in the world in a few years gets banned - no excuse!
Gomes is going to be a worldie! (facepalm) All the hours I spend editing these pages and I can't remember either of them being mentioned.
What age are these players and if they're so good why are they only getting their chance in a meaningless end of season game?
Harrop? Local lad, 21, 22 this year but we'll still call him a youngster - bound to be a future Ballon d'Or winner!}

Now, now, grumpy-drawers Bond. You're obviously still hungover from the recent celebrations. At no point have I claimed either of them are going to be the next best thing. But if you follow the youth sides, as I have to, to warrant the wife let me keep MUTV, you would know the club always thought a lot of Mitchell. As for Harrop, he may well never get another game for United, but I was delighted to see one of the more unsung players get his moment in the sun.

{Ed007's Note - Many, MANY moons have passed since I had a hangover and I don't miss them one bit lol I'm just at the wind up and we could swap the names with plenty from over the years but as Led Zep said, the song remains the same. ;-)
I've seen the future and Paddy Roberts is his name!}

You can't really lose playing younger players in games like that they either come off and you get one for the first team squad or someone like Sunderland give us a couple of million for them it's a win either way.

{Ed007's Note - Exactly. Maybe Jose was putting them in the shop window, it's a bit snyde if you're 21 and just making your first team debut.}

Good business model unless you buy them back a couple of year later for ten times the price, and look like del boy on a Christmas special.

{Ed007's Note - I thought that but didn't want to get the Welbeck supporters excited before Ed002 breaks her silence or her hubby does a pod thing.}

Bond

I mentioned Mitchell on here years ago after he played for England schoolboys, particularly noted his balance. I have mentioned Gomes a few times. They need to develop physically and show the right mentality now.

{Ed007's Note - But they've not been lauded like your Cleverleys, Welbecks and countless others that were all going to be superstars for Utd.}
