Hate reading the rumours about depay moving on, wish this lad would get a real chance thought he looked excellent for holland when he came on and scored two.
He needs a good spell in the starting eleven.

He shouldn't have been bought last season. He wasn't ready for a top side, and then van Gaal hung him out to dry.
Unfortunately, he isn't a Jose type winger, and it's probably best for him go move rather than sit on the bench with us.

This is what I can't understand why pay millions of pounds for a decent looking prospect then not even give them a game?

Van Gaal spent millions on him. He was told the player wasn't ready for a big move, but pushed ahead anyway. When it became obvious that Memphis wasn't coping with the move, van Gaal dropped him and criticised him in public.
Jose wouldn't have signed him at all because he wants wingers who can defend. No point in keeping the player at the club if the manager doesn't want or trust him.

I agree as well Danny. There were a few of us as well as the Ed saying they didn't think it was a wise move, but the "next Ronaldo" BS got carried away, next Tadic is more realistic unfortunately. His skills worked against Bruge, but we don't play Bruge every week, unlike in BENELUX leagues.
We will probably be saying the same thing about Miki next year unless something changes quickly, but he really does have what it takes imo.

Depay has real talent provided he wants to learn then a top manager should be able to teach and mould him. Fergie would have. I really hope he stays and turns it around but possibly a loan only away for a season will help him. He is one I can see coming back to bite us.
