Theres pep the genius.
Nolito instead of aguero.
And to be honest i couldn't belive it when they bought bravo. a drip.
John stones shocking, and that's why everton droped him last season. everton were laughing all the wsy to the bank there.

Agree8 Disagree3

Leahy if I am being honest mate I don't think anyone can be judged against that Barcelona outfit. The front 3 are freaks and as for Messi I can't say anymore than he is legitimately the greatest ever.

19 Oct 2016 23:06:27
Agree with that but do you go to play barcelona with aguro on the bench and start nolito.

19 Oct 2016 23:21:14
In the league they beat, sunderland, stoke, West ham, swansea, Bournemouth, lost to spurs
They drew with celtic, lost to barcelona.
They have to play a lot of the top half of the table yet maze.

19 Oct 2016 23:52:09
Leahy you forgot to mention they beat us - Rather convincingly.

As for Aguero I am pretty sure he was carrying an injury that's what the commentator said when he came on. When he came on he also wasn't moving freely.

Stones again I cannot judge against those attackers. I think a back four of Vidic, Terry, Ashley Cole and Lahm in their prime would get embarrassed by that front 3. I agree with you on Bravo though, much like Karius the Liverpool lad, he seems to have a mistake in him almost every game.

first half city matched barce bar a slip.
passed the ball just as well .
united will improve under jose, so will city .
before the sending off not a lot between them imo.

20 Oct 2016 06:50:01
TBH City performed well in the first half . The bravo red card cost them the other half.

20 Oct 2016 07:13:39
5 games without a win genius.
OK Barcelona are top class are celtoc. I think one of you posted they are worst cl team ever. Are Everton. Are spurs top class their cl form suggests not.
City have disimproved this season so far under pep. But they will improve.
United will also improve. Arsenal playing next football in UK at the moment.

20 Oct 2016 07:27:16
"City have dis-improved". My god can we just not admit when a club is playing good football.

20 Oct 2016 07:37:50
No win in the last 5 maze. We can also say they are maybe not as good as everyone keeps saying.

Admire good football when it's being played but we can call a spade a spade when the games aren't as impressive.

20 Oct 2016 07:53:58
call a spade a spade . there top of the league.

20 Oct 2016 08:07:19
Arsenal ar much better then City and to they have been playing attractive football for years but they don't get the love ome of you guys have for Guardiola and City.

If Wenger spent like Guardiola and had the players like him he wouldve won so many titles in the premier league, he either is very stubborn or is restricted by their board.

20 Oct 2016 08:18:04
Absolutely jred.

But we can also criticise the messiah when things aren't going as well. I know you don't like doing that though.

20 Oct 2016 08:36:55
angle
i tell it like i see it always try to give an honest opinion .
i thought they played well last night.

strange that the only people who call pep the messiah or a genius are the ones trying to knock him down.

anyone with out the red tinted glasses on just say he is a good manager and city are a good team.

20 Oct 2016 08:49:54
Their cl performances have disimproved yes. Their league performances have not improved. That happens at bayern too after he took over. Only once in his career has pep gone 5 naves without a win and that was7 years ago.
I'm not saying city are poor or pep is not a good manager. I'm just pouring a bit of perspective on the overt hoeing hyping of both.
They had a got start but have been average since. A draw v Celtic a loss to spurs a draw v Everton is pretty average.

20 Oct 2016 08:52:42
Totally agree singh.

20 Oct 2016 08:54:41
No he is a very good manager. He is a fantastic coach, I have always said that. My older posts reflect that. I guess the messiah name has just caught on taken. City are also looking a decent team.

But its not going their way at the moment and I'd like to see a bit more honesty from people on the site.

20 Oct 2016 10:19:33
I've seen decisions Pep has made this year that if our manager made those same decisions he would have been hung out to dry. Yet when Pep does it its genius.

Taking off a striker for a defensive midfielder after 55 minutes against us.

Playing Kompany as a centre forward against Everton.

Both really stand out, can you imagine what our fans would say if Moyes, LvG or Mourinho had done either of those?

Don't get me wrong, Pep is a very very good manager. He is also doing very well with Man City so far.
But I do think too many people are being brainwashed to believe everything he does is genius or reveloutionary. When if fact we see many other managers do similar things in similar situations.

Far too much hyperboil where Peps concerned if you ask me.

20 Oct 2016 10:21:13
Guardiola himself said aguero was not injured but that he wanted more midfielders to stifle barcelona. Which is perfectly fine, sometimes you have to be negative there's no need to hide behind it.

20 Oct 2016 10:29:40
He's not the Messiah he's a very naughty boy😆😆.

20 Oct 2016 13:20:55
Really good point Jred about the folk who call Pep the 'messiah' are the ones always having a go at him. I have never seen anyone who has anything good to say about Pep use the word Messiah.

20 Oct 2016 13:36:55
Well if you read my post above you will see not only did I call him team messiah but also had some nice things to say.

You really should read the posts correctly before criticising us maze.

20 Oct 2016 13:46:08
Angelred the above post wasn't directed just at yourself but you must admit these types of words often do get thrown about regularly by certain posters, correct?

20 Oct 2016 20:08:40
I think City were playing very well and you could see an instant imprint that Pep had placed upon them. Now their level has dropped but I think it's more a mental thing, they've conceded goals against the run of play a few times and seem to have completely lost their rhythm and composure. Last night the passing was horrendous at times, from both sides and I don't know if that was to do with the occasion or what. I reckon that if Ibra been playing with the form of KDB we'd be a lot closer to them in the table, but at the same time I am impressed with the rapidity of Pep's style being demonstrated throughout the team and his perseverance with it - once they get more comfortable with Pep's passing game, I think they'll be a very useful team and one to give us a good game once Pogba and co get firing too.
