Wow, well I guess I've got my answer. Everything is LvG's fault, clearly there are no other employees at our club and clearly if there were they would be doing the most wonderful job only to see it ruined by the evil dictator (and probable baby killer) mr Louis van Gaal.
People rarely see anything other than what they want to see. And apparently everyone in only interested in seeing LvG f**k it up. I don't come on here for everyone to agree with me, it would be painfully dull if they did. I want people to have different opinions and for there to be good debate and great banter.
But at the moment all we get is the same old comments and the same old point of view for the same people. The optimists are a dying breed on this site, we are endangered. The argument is no longer is the glass half full or half empty, because the neg heads have thrown the glass against the wall because someone disagreed with them.
I totally disagreed with the term "toxic" when it was first used, but now I must bow down and eat my humble pie as that is exactly what this site has become.
We are currently in the best form of the season, we have most of our squad fully fit again and even the performances have improved. The semi final against Everton was probably the most enjoyment I've had watching us since probably 2011, end to end, attacking hell Mary football. You soon forget that if the opponent has no chance of winning then there is no danger of losing, making the playing of the game almost feel pointless.
Even in the wake of our most entertaining game since Sir Alex left and still all we see is negative comments, in fact since our form has picked up the comments seem to have increased. Almost like a fear has gripped those negative fans that LvG may be given a stay of execution. So they have rushed to their keyboards to spout off just why we can't give this man any credit and why everything from results, playing style and our squad to the NHS, education system and the down right dangerous running of the country is all down the the Iron Tulip. I expect he greased a german runway many years ago, setting the club back a generation.
It's ridicules, and makes you all look like utter blind fools. At last count the optimists on this site are down to me, AJH and GDS2. Well maybe that count is down to two now as I come on here to have good banter and debate not a mindless hatred shoved in my face every time I try and make a reasoned plea.
So I think that's me gone now until the cup final, when hopefully a little more optimism is floating about. I wish you all the best and hope things start to change soon before the toxic atmosphere chokes the life out of our club.

Shaps, jred is pretty balanced, Stevie is also balanced, unfortunately the neg heads have taken over and won't enter into debate. We're all doomed.

Shappy, I only questioned your point about how none of us are privy to LVG's views, so we can't judge him on the transfers. By the same logic then, this has to be applied, in fairness, to Woodward as well. I certainly don't count that as being negative or 'hating', mate.

Shappy I agree the team is playing pretty well now and have some cohesion. To me, it doesn't matter if LVG stays or not, I just feel that team needs to play with more consistency without too many rotations. That would enable them to play better with each other and create better understanding. We can be a very dangerous team if we achieve that.
I still think though that we need to beef up a few more positions for next year's challenge on the title. I am confident even if we do not challenge the title, with a few additions to the current team, we will play high pace and entertaining football. Again, I just want to stress the consistency and passion needed.

I don't think many are saying its all lvgs fault in relation to your earlier point. Most disagreed with your point of ed woodward being to blame for our season.
Theres a group of people who should share blame with lvg and its called the players. they're the ones who get sent out their to perform and put into practice the instructions that has been given to them by the manager and his staff.
Its pretty obvious that somewhere in that process something has gone wrong, whether its lvg' tactics as a whole, the way he explains them to the players or the players actual execution of those tactics.
I don't see the point in being so dramatic about the whole situation. You posted and people disagreed with you, its allowed to happen.
You will get optimists, pessimists and pragmatists in a football clubs fanbase and they all are entitled to their opinions.

Stevie, sorry bud I didn't mean to mix you in with that lot. Lol. Unfortunately I think your reply got blurred in with all the negative bile. I completely agree, that was kind of my point. No one knows who is to blame, yet one man always gets it. It seems everything is LvG's fault, if the sun doesn't rise tomorrow you know who you can peg that down to.
Redseven, I've been trying to be a voice for reason since Christmas. I'm as frustrated with the performamces and results as everyone else. There are no awards for most devoted fan via how much outrage they display. Yet some seem to think there is. Anyone with a balance view is considered an apoligist or lesser of a fan. I'm just tired, and today was the straw that broke the camels back. I have tried reasoned disscussion but all I get back are the same arguements. If you want to see it as throwing my toys out the pram then be my guest. I'm just sick and tired of the negativity around here, it puts me in a bad mood and I feel tainted by it. Does anyone feel happy reading this site anymore? That's why I'm stepping aside for a bit. Get my head straight, and breathe some fresh air again.

AJH - please don't make out like you are part of some high and mighty elite group trying to communicate with savages.
There are plenty of people willing to enter into reasoned debate on this site. That you chose to ignore any opinion that differs from your own is on you - not the majority.

I wasn't trying to single any individual out but highlight that the general feel of the site has become negative, most of the fun and banter has disappeared. It's all about opinions, happy to debate with anyone, just don't want to have the same debate very day.

Shappy - I have never seen a single post on this site where anybody has referred to somebody else as an apologist or suggested that somebody is a lesser fan because of having positive opinions.
In this thread alone however I can find many examples where those on the other side of the fence have been called names. At a quick glance - 'neg heads' 'toxics' (opinions are) 'negative bile'.
I (and I'm sure many other people on this site) respect your opinions. That I don't always agree with them is nothing personal. If you were to take a break from the site I would be disappointed as I think you bring a lot to it and I hope that you'll reconsider. Either way I think that you need to take a look at how you deal with opinions that differ from your own.
