I was really bored last night so I watched Lazio very juve in the cup. Felipe Anderson was playing. On this showing, if we pay £1 for him it will be too much. He was shocking in every aspect. His passing was terrible. He could not go past a player. He was lethargic and did not play with a high tempo or any directness.
I hope we stay well clear of him.
Why are we not getting involved in getting Texiera? He's full of energy and will be an excellent addition. Hope scourers don't get him.

Lol I just hope if we do u give him more than 1 game before turning on him :)

Sounds like he will fit in very well at Man Utd :-)

He might have been bad yesterday, maybe his head is elsewhere. But I've watched him on numerous occasions and has been top drawer.

I've watched him several times and he has more than a shade of "Nani" in him. When on form he is outstanding, but no one can predict when that form will happen.

I've said previously that he wouldn't be top of my list.

Then again Brazilans do have an excellent record of moving to the north west of England and setting the world alight.

Really Shappy? Who like, Anderson? Jo?
I think the most successful Brazilians belong to the wags.

Jaysus betty your on top form recently ha ha.

21 Jan 2016 22:44:27
Should have kept Nani!

Schmid,

So the player we are linked with is terrible because you watched him once but surprisingly the player Liverpool are after is amazing and we should be buying him. I get the feeling if it was the other way round the post would be the same. You have a major crush on klopp and Liverpool at the moment, we get it.

Gds. Texiera has a lot more energy in him which is exactly what we're lacking at the moment. As shappy said, Anderson is a very similar player to nani. Do we need more players who will slow play down?

22 Jan 2016 00:46:29
There is a pro Liverpool anti United theme to your posts at the moment though, maybe it's by accident but you'll admit that?

22 Jan 2016 01:45:03
Take your time betty.

22 Jan 2016 07:06:21
JK92 - "take your time"? About what mate? I don't get it. Please explain what I should take my time about.

Apparently teixera has pulled a hammy just short of 2 minutes after LFC bid for him. so that won't be happening anytime soon.

Shahram, your right there does seem to be a shortage of quality right sided players.

I think it's probably to do with this in vogue idea of playing players on the opposite side to which they are footed. Being that a much smaller proportion of people are left footed, means their seems to be a shortage of left footers to play on the right. Much like 10-15 years ago when we used to play left footers on the left and right footers on the right there was a shortage of left wingers. Lol.

Every top right footed wide man wants to play on the left so they can cut inside and shoot.

We have Mata and Januzaj who are left footed amd almost always play them on the right, where as Martial and Depay only turn out on the left despite them being right footed.

Bale is the standout right winger with maybe Di Maria, both left footed. The only top right footed right sided forward I can think of is Sanchez.

As for Filipe Anderson he is right footed, and he does prefer to play on either the left or as a No.10, neither are positions we really need. And the only consistentcy he has is that he is consistently inconsistent.

He also took nearly 18 months to settle in Italy before he started performing, even then it was for at a stretch one good season.

He would almost definately flop if he moved to England.

But the news now seems like we aren't going tk make any signings this window as we seem to be making moves to change the manager in the summer.

Shaw, our season began to fall apart the moment he broke his leg, I think we would have won that game against PSV had he not done so and probably won the group, it was a huge huge loss and there was a reason there was such a sadness on this page the day it happened.

I can't wait for him back.

Shappy

I agree with you and think he will be flop in the PL. Not many Brazilians actually make it in the PL and for every one that turns out great 10 turn out to be disasters. Most also seem to peak early and go to sh. t in their late 20's not sure if it is the diet, genes or what.
