Remember when we signed Zaha! Lots of people here were excited. It was not a fancy name but he was very exciting to watch playing with Crystal Palace. Almost everyone had him in the starting XI. But it turned out to be worse.
So now almost everyone has Depay in their starting XI.
What i mean to say from this post is that no matter who we sign, they must have to prove themselves before they get in the first XI name sheet. No matter how many goals depay scored, I would love him to fight for his place, not that he should get automatic starting place.
I would love them to prove themselves in our tour, and if not, in league they should come off from bench and prove themselves that they are eligible to be the starting XI material

With all due respect, Depay is a few levels above Zaha. Obviously he should fight for his still, but I'd be amazed if Young outshone on tour or in training. But I am an admirer of Depay so I may have the blinkers on ðŸ˜ðŸ˜ðŸ˜

I know Depay is way above Zaha. I was just showing how we quickly jump our new signings straight to Starting XI

Proven full international, star performer in Dutch league, and most hardworking trainer at his club versus a player who had a good season in the championship and thought he had made it.
Nowhere near the same class of player.

The reality is that the PL is a levely above what he is currently playing in. However, the fact we have Young who has developed these past year allows for Deepay to not have to play every minute of every game.
if he flys out the traps great, if it is a slower thing then we can support this.
Either way he should be seen as an exciting addition in the same way as we were excited about Ronaldo after he had developed.
