What a match that was yesterday. Old Trafford was rocking. I think Garnacho and Mainoo were exceptional. Garnacho ran his socks off. He covered every blade of grass, tracking back and attacking. Mainoo is different class. I give Erik his due, he looks like he's managing him very well.
If we can build a team around some of theee youngsters we're in for an exciting future at OT.

Manioo and Garnacho exemplify the kind of attitude a Manchester United player should have. Never gave up. Never looked like they were beaten. Garnacho still running as hard at 120 minutes, as he had been after 5 minutes.

But some special credit needs to go to Maguire. He has been stripped of the captaincy, ridiculed in the press, criticised by everyone (me included), and accused of being more interested in money than football. When he came on, he showed leadership. He pushed for goals, gave their defence a physical battle, and drove the young players on. Much will be made of Bruno playing through injury, but Maguire showed more leadership qualities in his cameo than Bruno did all game. He might not be good enough to play the high line needed to win consistently at the top level, but he has character.

Agreed Danny, there’s been a lot of doom and gloom around the club this season so to see so many decent performances is a relief. I think the last time I enjoyed a match that much was the away tie vs PSG. Rashford scoring the penalty.
