I had to do a double take on the Inter bit. Madness to say the least.

{Ed001's Note - I honestly thought it was a spoof initially. It is hard to believe there are still people that stupid and ignorant in the world.}

France has pulled a 'hold my beer' kind of scenario:

"A stadium announcement for supporters to stop using the chant - "les Messins, les messins, c'est des pedes", which translates as "people from Metz, people from Metz, they're faggots" - went unheeded.

"Why are we being singled out now when we've been singing it for 20 years? " said Jean-Michel Goncalves, a leading Nancy supporters' association figure. "We've got nothing against homosexuals. When we insult Metz, it's more about tradition. " Nathalie Boy de la Tour, the LFP president, did not condone the songs, but struck a chord with fans when she said: "The majority don't think they're hurting anyone. ""

{Ed001's Note - it beggars belief, it really does.}

😂 Nancy, oh the irony, you couldn't make it up.

Sport should bring people together not divide us. As for the Iran situation, state interference, telling athletes to lose because they will face Israeli competitors in the next round and that poor women setting her self on fire all because she wanted to watch a football match and got a six month prison sentence! #oneracehumanrace.

The inter fans twisted view of it sounds pretty similar to bonucci saying the blame was 50-50 when moise kean got abuse, also at cagliari, must be something pretty weird in the Italian mind set.

if lukaku believes what he's been told then he realy is not that bright.

What a disgrace! You couldn't make that up! And they mean it and believe it. The mind really does boggle at such an attitude.

Enlightened Europe hey. And yet the English fans are always the problem.

Not saying we don't have our share of knuckle draggers but we're the only ones ever slated for anything.

to true mort until they ban the clubs or give them mutch bigger fines it won't change. i would make them play in empty stadiums for a season or two.

The difference is that an effort to identify and ban thugs from English grounds. Not to say racism isn’t still an issue, but it isn’t normalised.

In contrast, there are overtly racists supporter groups attached to certain clubs, that are given a free pass to racially abuse who they want without any fear of reprocussions.

The fa fine Millwall 10,000 for racist chanting, a few weeks later they fine huddersfield 50,000 for wearing a fake Jersey in a friendly.

Priorities Leahy priorities.
