Great to see us win from 2 goals behind. But Pogba and Sanchez were just pathetic throughout. Sanchez wants to play on the left but doesn't even try to take on the opposing right back and stretch him out of position ( which rashford did brilliantly as soon as he came on ) . Pogba and Sanchez basically play in the same position on the left trying to cut and play a through ball or 1-2 which doesn't work out as the defenders are too narrow. There is no one to work on the wings.
To get the best out of these two I think they should be used in a 4-3-3 formation playing either side of Matic in the middle. They like to come back a lot anyways so it will be much more suited to these guys and they will have more space to work while the front 3 engage the defenders. It will be a comparatively new position for Sanchez but he isn't doing anything in the front 3. He looks frustrated during the match as if his teammates are playing bad and the very next second he loses the ball.
Pogba and Sanchez will have to work extra in a mid 3 role and Sanchez with his work rate will be able to do it. Pogba will have to work and concentrate harder.
In case we are playing against top opposition then we can play Mctominay in the middle with Matic and sacrifice an attacking player.

I think you're right about Sanchez and Pogba wanting to operate in the same space but I don't agree with Sanchez in midfield although I admit it would be an interesting experiment.
Two solutions I think would work better is for Sanchez to play on the right and come inside like mata does. Rashford and Martial can provide width on the left.
Alternatively, Sanchez and Pogba need to develop an understanding so Sanchez comes inside and Pogba occupies the space he has vacated.

I think matic will have something to say about that lol. Poor man can barely do his own defensive duties, let alone pogba and sanchez's as well.

If Sanchez could play on the right it would solve a lot of problems but at the moment he just seems incapable of doing that. Coming in from the right is also not easy for him as he's a right footed player. Sanchez in my opinion has created more problems for us since he joined. Our last few matches with or without him would have made no difference.

Dsg I understand that it would mean more responsibility on Matic. But I'm not saying to use him against the likes city or Tottenham. But against weaker sides who are very difficult to break down once they get narrow. I anyways don't think Jose would do anything remotely similar against good oppositions where his main focus is to defend.
