My home city, where I was born, where I grew up, where I worked for many years. I struggle for words. On another day that could have been me and my family

Whatever they do, however often they do it, we will still stand tall and laugh at their pathetic attempts to undermine us. We will mourn those we have lost, support those that remain, hold our heads high and say, f*** you.

Agree13 Disagree0

Good post AJH, agree with your sentiments, we faced a similar situation here in mumbai a few years ago, rip to those who died in these attacks, to the rest, we all stand with you in this.

I remember seeing a homemade banner after the London bombings, that read, 'stop killing people, you f*****g twats". And I loved the sheer Britishness of that message.

Stevie, I was working in Manchester whilst living in Warrington when the IRA bombed both. The response both times was pretty much to stick two fingers up and crack on. People have lost loved ones, they will never get over it but the city will not be cowed by a religious nutter, nor will we descend into the gutter that they infest, we are better than that.

CSM, you're from India? I didn't know.

Ajh. My wife was in Manchester when the ira bomb went off and we were in Warrington when the bomb went off. As you know, we live in croft and we spend our nights out between Manchester and Warrington.
We will continue to do so like all the fantastic people we share these beautiful cities with. To anyone trying to undermine our way of life, we kindly request to go forth and multiply.

Unfortunately, we've seen more over here than I care to remember, mate.

Very true steviek and let's hope peace will triumph over hate and ignorance.
Thoughts are with all the families and friends who have lost their loved ones.

Schmid, my office was the nearest building that wasn't structurally damaged in Manchester 20 years ago, I remember that week like yesterday, people pulled together and got on with life, the big difference of course and as nobody was killed. These terrrorists must be so proud, managing to kill women and young children (8 years old) makes them such big men. We should mourn and then we should laugh at them.

They are the lowest of the low. There is no excuse or reason to justify the cowardly act that claimed the lives of so many. Disgusting and despicable.
I've seen it up close and personal in Ireland. Thankfully we have peace here to a very large degree. Yes part our country us still occupied by another but in time I'm sure that will change but bombing innocent victims is not nor has never been the way to resolve political or religious disputes.
