Got to say I wasn't happy with the tactics of mourinho for the 2nd time in a week, today Jose went to 4 centre halfs and 2 fullbacks using fellani and carrick in midfield and martial somewhere not sure where and poor rashford on his own I think against a better team we could of been in trouble, I thought he should of maybe had 3 centre backs and pushed the 2 fullbacks forward a bit to cut out the crosses and brought fosu mensah on to help the midfield with a bit of extra pace in there, Jose did a similar thing at Chelsea even though we were down to 10 men I think he could of had more of a go especially with it being a cup game I almost think he did not want to go through, I also do not like the way he keeps moaning about how many games we have, if we are successful we are going to play more games deal with it.

Incredibly negative some of the fans towards mourinho and some of the players.

We are Man Utd and I am far from negative I also want mourinho at old Trafford but any of you who were happy at that last 20 minutes should be ashamed of yourselves we are Utd who are known for good attacking football, also we were playing boro not city, Barca or Bayern to say that is all that matters is your opinion I also want to be entertained, I put how I would of stopped boro getting the crosses in which surely you all were worried about but I take it you were all happy with playing 6 at the back against boro, shame on you.

Arsenal have played the best football in the league for the past decade and haven't won the league. It's about game management and getting results. Had BR adjusted the way his Liverpool team played them last 5 games of the season a few years ago they would have won the league. Would any other manager have won the treble with that singer Milan side! We're their fans complaining is was cautious? Honestly when you win away 3-1 and still complain it's you who should be ashamed of yourself!

Ken I was there in 99 we played Bayern not a bottom of the table team, I have been going since 1974 so have seen good and bad but if you or the others enjoyed that last 20 or so minutes mmm by the way I see mourinho has said he was wrong to do it, I want 3 points like the rest of you but I just thought playing 4 central defenders against boro was wrong and put us under needless pressure, stand if gerrard hadn't slipped Liverpool would prob of won the league also we have won loads of titles in the last 20 years or so which I am delighted about so want to enjoy watching us play good football which I believe we can do whilst still winning, we were not exactly struggling when we were 2-0 up were we.

Mourinho does what he does and wins trophies. His cabinet speaks for itself and his tactics are justified.

Doesn't always go the way we want phil, especially the football.
I remember watching us in the last season or two of fergies reign and some of the football was incredibly dyer. However we still managed to do the business.
Of course, the last 20 mins today, I wanted to see us play swashbuckling football and win 4 nil. But Jose has never been known for that. 2-0 and he brought on a defender to shore it up for the last 20 mins. It's all well and good in hindsight but there was also the possibility he brings on like for like with mata and they score and put us under pressure and then fans criticise him for not bringing on a defensive player.
Joses trophy cabinet is stacked playing a certain way and adopting certain tactics. I think we just have to let him do his job because like it or not he knows a hell of a lot more than all of us here put together.
Oh and we won 3-1 today.

Phil, I agree with you. It's difficult to critisise when we won but it could quite easily have been a draw.
We were looking comfortable at 2-0 but by bringing on an extra centre half and going with six at the back, we just invited them on to us and gave them the opportunity to start creating chances. They took one chance to make it 2-1 and they continued to attack. Against a better team it might not have worked out so well for us.
The argument is nonsense that it was OK to be negative because that's what Fergie did sometimes. Fergie played more conservatively in difficult European away fixtures. He didn't park the bus when we were 2-0 up at 'Boro. he went for 3 or 4, or 5 or 6. When Jose brought on Darmian to make it seven defenders, it was beyond parody.
I also think Jose could do himself and his players a massive favour by rotating his team a bit more. He made changes today but three of those were forced.
And by the way, when is TFM going to get some game time?
