We could have bought about 180 league 2 players for what we paid for Pogba. Probably would have had enough change for me as well. I can hit a mean freekick with a slightly swirly wind after drinking 7 pints the night before.

I happen to think I can open a tin of beans with my right foot whilst smoking a fag. Think how many cheap players we would be able to slag off on this banter page. However I wouldn't care about any opinions about me on this page and would jog around the field however I like. Maybe even juggle a hacky sack at half time for the crowd.

Supa, have you just finished the last of the said 7 pints? lol

I get where you are coming from though. I think to be honest it is only natural that people expect big things from the world's most expensive player. But with Pogba, you have to remember that you are paying for potential - not the finished article.

I don't buy into these silly stats that say Pogba has had a good season. - he hasn't. But the abuse he is getting now is also harsh. Hopefully we will see the real player next year - a player who will benefit from better players around him. Especially being him. I still strongly believe that the lack of quality in the back for is hindering us. Valencia and Bailly are good enough, and I hope that Shaw can sort himself out and become the player we want him to be.

Get that back for sorted and settled, and it will make a big difference to the whole team. Not saying that Jose will go all gung- no and allmout attack, but with a back four that can be trusted and relied upon, I think we will see a big improvement in both Pogba and the team in general.

The abuse Pogba is getting, even on this page, is a joke. So people really think that if all he was doing was getting a hair cut and not training hard and well he would be in the team? This is modern football, he spends his time unwinding from the ridiculous pressure of the sport in the salon getting stupid haircuts. So what? Who the hell is anyone to judge him? Or would you rather it be like the good old days and he went for 20 pints after a match to unwind. It's almost like just because some of us pay to go and watch this we own the players and their behaviour. It's ridiculous. He's young and settling in to a new side that's evolving. Alternatively, wash your hands if him 7 months in to his United career.

The hair cut thing is just a symptom of fans frustration. We have very little access to what happens behind the scenes so it's an easy thing to jump on as everyone can see it. Only natural for people to look for reasons why he is not doing what we thought he would. Of course it's not because he sits at a barbers all day rather than doing keepy uppies in his back garden, it's to do with what is rammed down our throat constantly by the media/ commentators. I can think of more hair styles he has had than good performances, that is the problem!

He is paid to perform on the field, he gives the impression that he cares more about how he looks than how he actually performs. That is also emphasised by his seeming lack of effort on the pitch, his preference to look "cool" over looking bothered. Clearly he wouldn't be where he is if that was actually the case, but a bit of an effort to show the fans how you really feel (rather than laughing and joking after a defeat), could go a long way. I don't care if he sinks 1000 pints or shaves his head, so long as he does the job he is paid to do and why I take time out of my life to watch him and the club.

A lot of our players get justified praise and criticism for their performances, it's just the past couple of weeks Pogba being highlighted because his poor play has been pretty consistent now. Few weeks/ months ago it was Shaw, Martial, Smalling, Rojo, Darmian, Rooney, Zlatan for one reason or another. Most of the time it's deserved because fact is we are performing below the desired standards more often than not and we need to look at reasons, otherwise there is no point talking about the team.

He hasn't earned the right to be a protected species yet, far from it in my book. Rooney has done 100 times more for the club and he gets it 10 times worse than this.

It was a sarcastic post if anyone missed it. I'm glad Pogba is at United and I don't think I've ever gone into great depths about the flaws of any player, I often wonder why people here do. I think sometimes people just want to set their opinions in a way that they can prove themselves right somehow later on. The price tag doesn't bother me either. It's not like any player sets their price unless they have an invested interest like a relative as their agent maybe.
