Happy New year to all eds and posters old and new. Any chance of a inkling of a surprise transfer to us this January Ed002? Something to warm the cockles of my heart this grey Dorset day as I'm covering my wife's charming cafe having avoided any alcohol for the last few months including last night. I am plying myself with high grade caffeine this morning accompanied with a smorgasbord of green teas and a bacon sandwich.

{Ed002's Note - Joao Mario will maybe emerge as a favoutite for midfield.}

1.) 01 Jan 2018 12:55:11
Are we targeting only one midfielder or two ed? . By us going after Mario means the end for milinkovic Savic and Soler or are these two transfers unrelated? .

{Ed002's Note - Why do you have to try and complicate everything?}

2.) 01 Jan 2018 13:52:46
Cheers Ed002 and a Happy New Year to you!

3.) 01 Jan 2018 13:51:06
Brilliant, thank you Ed002, cheered me up after enduring a shopping trip to the sales with the missus (part of the bargain reached to baggsie the big TV for Everton match later)

Does anyone have any info or opinions about Mario, apart from his penchant for Italian food? )

4.) 01 Jan 2018 14:02:09
I'll take Joao Mario. Think he a decent player who will fit well into the team. Will it be a loan with a view to buy or a transfer?

5.) 01 Jan 2018 16:01:45
No worries Ed. Happy new yr to everyone.

6.) 02 Jan 2018 11:41:58
Paper talk for me on Mario definitely can see Jose trying for Savic tho.

12 May 2017 20:40:36
Rumours that Renato Sanches is unsettled / Maybe available for transfer. Sorry ed not listened to sharkopod yet but wondered if a move was possible this summer or any inkling that this might be the case and that Bayern would let him leave for similar money in return?

{Ed002's Note - He has been a disaster and if they could mug some club in to buying him they would - they are trying to get a replacement in. The player has not coped with the cultural change at all - Manchester United got lucky last year.}

1.) 13 May 2017 07:12:27
He's a 19 year old boy. Hopefully he will grow up to become the player he looks like he can be.

2.) 13 May 2017 08:56:40
Is he one of those players who are unwilling to adapt to a new country or is he homesick and will only ever be successful on the Iberian peninsula?

{Ed002's Note - It is not that he is unwilling it is that it can be very difficult to adapt where everything is cuturally different, where the language is a problem, where the food is different, where the weather is poor etc..}

3.) 13 May 2017 13:54:34
Never thought that joining Bayern was the best move for him, not surprised at all it hasn't worked out. Hopefully he get's back on track soon though, think he has great potential.

4.) 13 May 2017 14:32:19
I'd be delighted to have him. So dynamic, would compliment Pogba very well I think.

5.) 13 May 2017 15:04:24
Have you watched him this season fresh. He had a very good euros, was decent in the Portuguese league. Beyond that, he leaves a lot to be desired.

I'd rather a more experienced player with pedigree than sanches.

6.) 13 May 2017 16:00:44
He has so much potential but he just wasn't ready for such a high profile move. Probably lacks a bit of maturity. I watched a game on telly that he came on in, he looked lost. You're right ed, United definitely dodged a bullet there.
Hopefully he can get some good advice and make his next move right for him and realise his potential.

7.) 13 May 2017 16:56:19
25 games for a 19 year old at Bayern in his first season in a new country seems ok to me hope he is surplus and we take him cause the boy is a top talent but got to feeling he is playing understudy for next season its the Bayern way to ease talent in and let them grow. personaly i would like Nianggolon for midfield and if James Rodriguez is available him to. And Beloti looks perfect for the prem hope he on the radar but I know Jose will improve us dramatically no matter who the targets are, we have bags of cash and some big profile players leaving can't wait for the summer transfer window.

8.) 13 May 2017 18:52:17
I think he worth a chance for a reasonable fee, I wouldn't go over 25 million though, feel like Mourinho would look after him.

9.) 14 May 2017 08:23:41
Good point Shane - maybe the Portuguese connection would make him feel happier (though can't do anything about the rain! )

You'd think BM would've done more to help him settle in though, such as placing him with a Portuguese family/ privibding extra lessons at college. Maybe that's not how it works and I'm being naive - can't be easy for a young lad to adapt to a whole new situation, where everything would seem foreign.

10.) 14 May 2017 08:52:16
If he has struggled with language, food and weather then he will struggle just as much here so it probably wouldn't make sense spending big money on him right now. He may become great, he may not.

06 Jan 2017 12:07:46
Everton reportedly make a move for Manolas. wouldn't we be interested too if he's available unless other business is nearly done anyway.

{Ed025's Note - he wants a move to a big club who are going places supasub.. :)

1.) 06 Jan 2017 12:48:22
He is a Briiliant player, Everton will do very well to sign him

{Ed025's Note - its just speculation at the moment mate but i agree that he would be a good signing..

2.) 06 Jan 2017 12:58:51
Ok get it Ed. At least the biggest club in Merseyside is a step up.

{Ed025's Note - nothing wrong with dreaming mate.. :)

3.) 06 Jan 2017 13:53:43
So not signing for everton then ed. Though on a serious note will you be able to afford him?

{Ed025's Note - we have loads of dosh CSM, not only moshiri but now usmanov wants a piece of us and hes richer than abramovic!, the futures bright mate... the future is blue.. :)

4.) 06 Jan 2017 14:36:48
You still got that church in part of goodison Ed? It's been a while since I've thought about it, an old Everton fan about 30 years ago used to tell me they wouldn't move which has always hampered increasing the size of the stadium.

{Ed025's Note - St lukes is still there supasub and it has always been a thorn in the side of any expansion to the ground, but that wont matter now as we will be getting a state of the art stadium at bramley moor dock in the near future mate..

5.) 11 Jan 2017 13:05:47
I would have thought a church being so close to Goodison, was rather handy, Ed025 :)

{Ed025's Note - sadly my prayers have not been answered noucamp...liverpool are still in the premier league mate.. :)

11 Dec 2016 23:30:10
Just a message to Ed002. I don't mind if you give us a rundown after the transfer window just to remove the strange 1 time posters who seem to ruin it for some of us. Take your time. We know your a busy person and I'm sure we can all be patient and wait for your update.
I've been here for a few years and don't want to be cheesed off by a few suspicious random posters.
Enjoy a g and t or a sip or champers and give your insight when your ready.

{Ed002's Note - I have been travelling for a month and I am either in my office or around the UK (oddly enough Manchester tomorrow night) most of the next two weeks - I will look to doing it late this week.}

1.) 12 Dec 2016 07:21:04
Thanks Ed, anything you can manage will be very much appreciated. You always sound so busy - hope you have a wonderful break over Christmas.

{Ed002's Note - You are terribly sweet.}

2.) 12 Dec 2016 07:50:01
thanks ed002.

3.) 12 Dec 2016 12:47:40
Hope you don't mind me asking, just a little curious

Is Ed02 a football agent or works within the Football Industry itself? I really enjoy reading all the Eds insite to what's happening regarding the Football World

Anyway Merry Christmas to all the Eds and everyone on here, all the best everyone.

4.) 12 Dec 2016 16:01:08

Thank you very much Ed002. Really looking forward to your update and insight into what the club are doing/ planning at this time of year and into the summer.

27 Nov 2016 15:00:51
So ed002 offers a bit of insight on lindelof and it's in the Sunday press. Do the journalists bother researching or just come here for a bit of info?

1.) 01 Dec 2016 11:25:15
i can't wait for Ed002's post/ podcast about Utd. Hope it comes soon:)

I'd go Liverpool v Bayern
Seville v Real Madrid for the conspiracy theorists.
The powers that be won't want an English club to win it.
Particularly UEFA and the Russians before a world cup held in russia.

{Ed001's Note - it would be one hell of a conspiracy if Bayern and Sevilla had made it through....}

1.) 11 Apr 2018 23:01:36
Oh dear! 😂.

2.) 11 Apr 2018 23:25:25
Very good ed. Sorry been working alot. Exchange Roma for Seville.

{Ed001's Note - at least you know I was awake. For a change.}

16 Mar 2018 12:26:54
I'd rather Liverpool went through than city and I think they might. Everything I dislike about city is for nearly all the same reasons I didn't like the Barcelona team when pep was there except for xavi and Iniesta. I'm going to have a shower when I get home now.

1.) 16 Mar 2018 12:39:53
No way. I would rather city went through than Liverpool. And I think Liverpool have a chance. But tbh in an ideal world neither would win it.

2.) 16 Mar 2018 12:51:09
Agree with supa, city have a manager and a team to win the cl, while Liverpool can be beaten by any of bayern madrid or Barca.

3.) 16 Mar 2018 13:26:30
I'd prefer city to win, Liverpool can't win another champions league ! If pep wins the champs league with city he may look to other challenges and move on.

4.) 16 Mar 2018 13:46:57
From a football point of view I would like to see city play a Munich or barce.

5.) 16 Mar 2018 14:15:19
City all day.

6.) 16 Mar 2018 14:17:05
Bayern look very good at the moment. What a turnaround by heyneckes who is a very good manager. Very underrated considering his achievements. Brilliantly run football club steeped with heritage and culture. A city Barcelona game for the neutrals would be an intriguing watch.

7.) 16 Mar 2018 14:54:27
Liverpool to win so City can come back to earth and then Liverpool will lose against the likes of Bayern, Real or Barca. To be fair either way none of Liverpool or Man City will win the champions league.

It is going to be one of Real, Barcelona or Bayern winning it.

8.) 16 Mar 2018 19:04:24
Id take the City way of playing every day of the week. It doesn't make anybody a bad Utd supporter just to say City are a great team.

13 Mar 2018 21:38:46
Sloppy, no intensity and don't look afraid of going out. Seville haven't even played well, just defended well and waited for the mistake.

10 Mar 2018 15:25:07
The Bus was parked and Liverpool were still hit by it.

1.) 10 Mar 2018 16:11:09
Was the bus parked? We targeted the weak points in their defence, lovren an Arnold, scored. Their attack struggles to break down defences that sit deep an don't leave space for them to run into.

2.) 10 Mar 2018 16:33:28
I was being sarcastic.

3.) 10 Mar 2018 17:03:27
Fair enough. Sarcasm doesn't really work in text form.

4.) 10 Mar 2018 17:22:28
Mort we have a turbo charged parked bus which occasionally speeds off for a while and back to park 🤣🤣🤣. Jose personally drives this turbo charge bus.

03 Mar 2018 18:10:48
What a boring day of matches and this Liverpool v Newcastle game is an absolute borefest so far. I thought Liverpool were now the most entertaining team since the Brazil 82 side? With the greatest frontline since Pele, Jairzinho, Rivelino?

1.) 03 Mar 2018 19:58:16
Can believe you’re complaining, you’ve been watching boring football all year. At least we managed to beat them playing under par. How did your lot get on a few weeks ago?

2.) 03 Mar 2018 20:04:43
You'd know about borefests more than most now wouldn't you?
Must be painful, really painful for you I can imagine. Having to watch that dire tripe every week in the context of City, Liverpool and Spurs brilliance is too much to take isn't it?
The fact that City, Spurs and Liverpool. NOT Man Utd. are the PL's top sells, the main events, the box office picks, that must be hard to take innit? Not even your false placing of 2nd in the log seems much consolation.

So yoy react the only way you know how: bitterness, bitterness and more bitterness.
Spurs, City and Liverpool rightly are getting plaudits and respect for the way they play and represent the game.
The highlight for you seems finding/ manufacturing petty, insignificant flaws about their games. How sad. That how low you fallen?

Look, your team has not headlined the PL for a quite a long time now, and honestly there's little to evidence of that changing anytime soon.

It hurts, we get it. You are bitter, we get it. It's also hella nice to see. Priceless seeing ya'll grasping at straws downplaying City's class and Spurs and Liverpool's brilliance.
By next week Monday you'll very likely be outta the top 4, your 'we're second in the table' gone. What you going to pluck out then?
History? That you won the Europa last season?

Such bitter, bitter bunch you are.

3.) 03 Mar 2018 20:20:18
Wow. So I’m assuming that RBL is a Liverpool fan. Our team has not headlined in the EPL apparently, that from a supporter of a team who has never won the EPL. Liverpool haven’t won the title for 28years, that’s a very very long time. They may be exciting right now but hey ho, it doesn’t win the title does it? Let me remind you that we won 2 trohies last year which made us the most successful English club of all time, you are well and truly knocked off your f*&£*ing perch.

As for history, we were the first team to win the European Cup, the first team to win the EPL, and the first and only team to win the treble.

Your grasp of Maths is worrying, whatever’s happens we will still be in the top 4, I suggest you cross your fingers and hope for the best before you come to OT.

4.) 03 Mar 2018 20:29:38
Plenty of bites this time of year. Try not spill to much saliva on your keyboard.

5.) 03 Mar 2018 21:07:17
RBL wins the prize for the most embarrassing post of the year. And it’s only March 😂.

6.) 03 Mar 2018 21:22:59
May I point out rbl05 we are still the biggest box office pull in the premier league. Highest attendances except for spurs due to Wembley, take the most away fans to every game. Every clubs biggest attendance is against utd most of the time. We take the most to European away games of the English clubs. Wow your playing amazing football but will still end up empty handed. Remind me how many years is it.

7.) 03 Mar 2018 21:32:37
games are boring when the opposition park the bus. o wait there, you would know all about that right🙊.

8.) 03 Mar 2018 21:17:10
Predictable lol!
Who I support has no relevance to the points raised in my post.
At least though you not denying that you in fact ARE bitter losers.
It's telling that you had to (typically) pluck out history instead of debunking by raising current and relevant footballing points.

Much good your history doing you right now huh?
But no worries. Your 2nd place troph y may still be up for grabs, utterly unconvincing as you might be even for that. Good luck i'm the coming 7 days, going to need it. Invoke your history too, if that'll help.

9.) 03 Mar 2018 21:31:43
Hahah Supasub you just went fishing and came back with a full load.

10.) 03 Mar 2018 22:07:49
I'm picturing when people rant with an uneducated look about them, then they have those thick white bits of saliva appear in the creases of their mouth on either side. That's the general feeling I'm getting from Liverpool supporters who appear and post on a Manchester United page after they (I presume) watched their own team play. This thread is more entertaining than the first 30 mins I watched and the tippy tappy backwards passing between a back 3 and goalkeeper then a long Hoofball out wide, amazing stuff.

11.) 03 Mar 2018 22:59:44
Imagine watching your team win then coming on to a united page to call people bitter, why are you even thinking about United? Absolutely brilliant 😂.

12.) 04 Mar 2018 04:03:31
Can anyone help on the following pls?
1. When and how many did Liverpool last won the PL?
2. When and how many did ManUtd last win the PL?
Appreciate if any Liverpool supporters who love to come here answer the questions please. Thank you in advance.

13.) 04 Mar 2018 06:44:56
RBL, not sure where you get the word butter from. Out play is nowhere near the standard we have set and nod in on here iso denying that. SAF left and havoc followed, Mourinho is hopefully sorting all that out.

In terms of history, Liverpool fans are the worst for banging on about the past. You dominated the League 30 years ago, a lot of fans today don’t understand why you are classes as a big club. Look at the EPL winners over the last 25 yea and 4 names will jump out at you: United, Arsenal, Chelsea, Man City. No sign of Liverpool there mate so right now history is all you have. Yes yes you will point to that night in Rome but as Leicester proved, weird sh1t happens occasionally.

We won 2 trophies last year which takes us above Liverpool for trophies won, is that history or is that current? You may we’ll beat us to the second place trophy but here’s the difference. If we finish second we will be disappointed, if you finish second you’ll celebrate finishing above us and talk about next year being your year.

There’s no bitterness here, just impatience and frustration at how long it is taking to get us back to out best.

14.) 04 Mar 2018 07:25:16
And obviously some frustration with my spelling.

15.) 04 Mar 2018 09:11:22
Well said AJH well said.
But well such are them who wants to stir 🤣🤣🤣.
I’m still waiting for any scousers who can answer my questions. Somehow they have the guts to come here to stir but no guts to answer truthfully. Am I am not even stirring anything in case I get deleted 😂🤣.
Anyway I rest my case 🤦‍♂️.

16.) 04 Mar 2018 10:26:59
aj is right above it is a good job they have a cleaner for there trophy cabinet or it would have more webs than my headge on a frosty morning.

17.) 04 Mar 2018 10:27:16
lfc you should try it you might win something.

18.) 04 Mar 2018 14:50:20
Well i missed a treat here 😁.

No, he's house hunting in Madrid as it's already agreed he'll go in the summer for £85 million so that we at least get out money back and relieve us of the burden of having him in the squad. To sweeten the deal Madrid will chuck in a metre long stick of chorizo.

It was a sublime chest down. If Silva or De Bruyne had done the same thing then the commentators would have reached for the tissues. The chat around Youngs challenge was outrageous from the MOTD commentator. "Catching aguero on the knee, absolutely a red card" and then saying they should have had 2 penalties etc, ridiculous.
