Carrick sums it up perfectly. Weird feeling, great to get through but disappointed with the performance.
Not too sure what he was on about saying "would have been good to keep the performance levels going", or words to that effect - this loss has been coming for weeks, good job it didn't hurt us. Possibly the best defeat we could ever have, kick up the backside time without being punished.

I have said it before and will say it again. If does not reach top four with the investment in the squad and the investment in his credentials by the club then his first season is a failure.
On a side note do not be fooled by the fact United are through to the final. That game was a huff, puff and a whimper away from total embarrassment.

God forbid we celebrate winning a 2 legged semi final, come on everyone stop celebrating, don't even go to Wembley, it means nothing if we don't win away legs 6-0.
I still think we will make top 4, the team is having a slight poor spell at the moment yet we are still getting decent results (tonight was decent enough as we had a 2 goal start), hopefully rest a few on Sunday and get through and then go full throttle at Hull next Wednesday. Fair play to Hull they put up a good fight in both legs, that manager has got them playing like a team and playing like they did tonight they might even stay up. He seems like a nice guy, I hope after Wednesday he is successful.

I disagree with you about Hull. I think they are abysmal and the only reason they looked like Barcelona tonight was because of United's standoffish approach.
Nobody is saying "don't celebrate" (I don't know why you always feel the need to be so extreme) but just to put things into perspective. If Utd don't make the CL this season do would you class this as being a successful campaign even if Utd win a cup?

Maze is right, there's no point going 16 games unbeaten if we then lose to Hull, even if we did get through to the final. Maze, I think Shan is highlighting that when we are playing well and winning you are nowhere to be seen but as soon as there is an opportunity for negativity, up you pop.

I agree beast we have looked a little off colour the last few games and that was the safest and best way for the unbeaten run to end I'm sure the manager has noticed too and will do his upmost to curb it before it becomes too damaging.

Now now. Play nicely boys. Agree with Beast, our performance levels have dropped and we've gone back to how we were playing before the good run.
We seem to be slow in possession and we don't work hard out of possession.

Ibra pogba and herrera all look like they could do with a rest.
It's been a hectic schedule. For me all their performences have dipped considerably over the past few games.

Agreed Ken. I'll give the three you mentioned a rest. I will let martial and Rashford and mkhitaryan play up top.
I'm not sure why Jose hasn't strengthened the left back spot. Shaw is not going to make it. Would love to see Rose in there, but Spurs will not let him go mid season.
