I, when the players were poor under LVG it was the Manager's fault, but when they are poor now it's the players' fault. Have I understood you all correctly?

Both managers are way too negative for my preference, arguably the two best attacking teams so far this year, pool and city have one thing in common that we have lacked since fergie left. Movement. How can you create space and chances if you're static.
Make runs in behind or down the channels and react to the space that opens up when the defenders are pulled around, it's basic stuff but we don't do it.

When the balls rolled in Rooney and it bounces 10 yards off his shins, that's Jose' fault I guess.

Agreed Red. That's why statistically, United run less than any other team. We are lazy and both lvg and Mourinho play in similar ways. While city Liverpool spurs run their guts out to press the opposition.

Its the players fault in most circumstances when a manager is sacked. But the way modern football has gone it just isn't financially viable to sack the players therefore the manager carries the can.

If jose has a similar season to moyes or lvg (2nd season) he will be sacked as well.

Both are to blame in my opinion, it has always been that way and most of us will hammer certain players for their performances week-week. But as the manager is responsible for acquiring, training, educating, picking and motivating the players he has to be the one held most accountable.

LVG and Mourinho have been supported in the transfer market, LVG was give time, JM will be given time. There has been zero progress made since SAF left, so with all that money and time spent on some of the best talents in the game and we get served the same dross almost week in week out for a long time you have to wonder what is going on.

It's easy to replace players, especially when Woody and Co are seemingly happy to let them go for a lot less than we paid or what they are worth. The manager is the figure head so he is the one that needs to be criticized overall, players for their own specific performances of course, but some play good and the team plays bad, then different players play bad and the team plays good (so they get a free pass), but what they are being asked to do is unknown to us, so it's hard to blame 11 players, much easier and fairer to criticize the boss.

Players get dropped for poor form (or should be), you can't drop a manager and we can't know why those players are under performing in most cases. Bad management, bad ideas so far.

We still lack pace in the side. Rooney, has no great pace and zlatan is static:martial, rashford mickie when fit will/ are ahead of the play by time the supporting cast come into the final third. If play is held by playing sideways etc a la LVG, then the opposition regroup. Midfield need to press higher and provide support . I honestly think it will come good but feel that PP needs to be pushed forward and have someone confident in passing and controlling the tempo (Carrick for now? ) sitting in front of the back line . Just my tuppence worth- hope for a positive result tonite;)
