I remember when this site used to be fun and people actually talked like adults and conversed in a mature fashion and guess what, had banter.
Now we have a clique type of thing forming where people are constantly being shot down at any opportunity because they disagree with a certain clique.
For months we have had to read and 're read the same negative/abusive/childish posts from the same posters everyday, then if 1 person thought different they were rounded on called all sorts,told they had there head in the sand, were not living in the real world etc.
THEN after months of that, BOOM we are actually looking good again, winning well and beating top teams in the league, those people rounded on are rightly happy and I'm sure in some way felt they were vindicated in the beliefs. But no wait that's not this page anymore, no we need people being called out on posts 5 months old or narky posts or even better they disappear! ONLY to again reappear just in time for the first game we have played bad for in the last 2 months. Funny that ain't it? Some would say bloody coincidence I prefer being a 'realist' and just calling it really POOR form.
This week again we have lost our best source of info because some numbskulls can't get there brain to think before there mouths talk. Thanks again for whoever that was, and I would just like to say to ed02 thanks for everything u have done for us mate and I hope u come back but I totally, like most on here understand your reasons and if u don't, well I have enjoyed and will still enjoy your input on other more mature pages that actually value the info u give out.
No deeps mate! I don't think I'm the one that's changed over the last year, I'm just biting back a little bit tbh and will prob follow ed02's suit and have a break from this page for a while at this rate.
Jred, I would just like to take this moment to say I don't want it to seem like I'm getting at you mate, u know I really rate you as a poster buddy and I can see it did come across a bit like I did.

people use the site for different things.
1 persons argument is an other persons banter.
1 persons snide remark may be another persons joke ( i might of got gds all wrong)
to be honest some don't add a lot to the debate ,they just take the pi55.
but each to there own, if i don't like the thread i just ignore it or move on , unless its syd.

I'm all for debates, but u yourself admit u have not been around much lately jred but it's been pretty poor on here for a while mate.
Jred, about 15 months ago u know what I was going through with my little one and I came on here to ask for positive thoughts and prayers for him, because this place was my second home mate. I used to look forward to shappys LONG posts likewise u and deeps endlessly debating syd, redman with his excellent analysis, Tony and Stevie with there love in and gav. just being gav lol etc.
I remember when Kloot would shoot down posters and get nasty and people rightly took offense to it and told him. Why? Because we were a great community, albeit differing views on things but still we all seemed to get on.
I don't mean at all to get onto anyone, u know it's not my style and maybe today I'm just having a bad day. But I've just had enough atm.
I want this site to get back to the place it was before.

We are all in the one boat here,united fans looking for the best players to play for us,everyone is entitled to their own opinion,some posters get carried away when they see some player scoring goals or playing well for their teAm and they want them to sign,ed02s head must be wrecked from it and the same questions about the same players over and over again,as he or she says,rtfp.i hope we get in a few top players who will work hard and so they should.maybe we are all born winners and just hate losing,if we win we are all happy,I like reading all posts,Chris,jred,fresh,syd,Betty.people have a go at beast but I think he has a valid opinion,let's all just chill ,we should get fourth at least ,not bad

If you don't think I am joking a lot of the time then you do have me totally wrong, my sense of humour is sarcastic, not snide, I don't get offended very easily and I think a lot of the regulars 'get it'. I find snide comments to be one liners on posts that add nothing apart from making the poster look a bit stupid, something you do quite regularly.
We clearly don't get each others sense of humour, but sure you are a top bloke and like I always say about beast, we would have a laugh down the pub at some of the stuff on here.
Chris, I feel similar to you about the page recently, anyone with a positive opinion is shot down and it feels like some people have been hoping we stop playing well so they can say 'I told you we were only playing well because'.
Losing ed002 at such a critical time is a blow for the page, the person who said it is his / her job is an absolute moron, I try not to ask the eds too much unless they comment on my posts and get a bit of conversation going, anyone who thinks they have a right to a reply from an editor needs their head looking at, and I hope ed002 changes his / her mind before the end of the summer at least as this site will be a worse place without him / her.
{Ed007's Note - It's hard work trying to get a laugh on here mate. I'll try and sweet talk Ed002 but it might take a while, maybe during that time the site can get back to what it was meant to be for, somewhere for you lot to talk/discuss/debate Utd. It was never meant to be an Ed002 Q&A site. People are allowed an opinion of their own without needing it validated by an Ed, it's not the Liverpool site ffs!}

I mean if we take, for obvious reasons, my posts as being the top ranks of say 5 gold stars, it would make it very difficult for everyone else to even reach 1 star in comparison. We would have to find a minus star for 007's posts......}

Okay, let's not be too hasty ed001. Having said that if Liverpool fans (like you hint hint) were offering to send a few gold stars in the post that I could stick to my forehead, I think I'd be happy with that sort of validation. I think gold stars could be done like scouting badges: a star for saying Rooney's past it and should be sold, a star for comparing LVG to Moyes or Fergie, a star for asking about a potential transfer without searching for previous posts about said transfer, a star for talking about the good old days when United didn't win anything and we still cheered for them, and the illusive star for making an intentionally ridiculous statement that other posters reply to as if you're being serious.
{Ed001's Note - that would be fun. When we get the chance to get some more profile badges for this site, I think we might have to look to have badges for just those things. As for a gold star to stick to your forehead, I think silver is all you have managed to earn so far, gold requires more sucking up. You have a lot to learn in that area!}
