Tough game tomorrow and as I have been saying all season, Liverpool are here to stay. However, I think we can go there full of confidence and put on a good performance and hopefully get a result or a draw.
My gripe is with all the press and especially the so called old united players, ince, owen, savage. They just can't seem to say anything good about our club. It is a shame as all players should have respect for the clubs they play for. Ince has become a scouse spokesman by the sounds of it while savage is . A thick idiot who is so full of jealousy about what his career could have been. My abiding memory of Ince, is when he scored against us at anfield and he went berserk thinking that he'd killed our chances of a league win that year, we all know what happened after!!
So let's get behind our team and I'm sure we can give a very good account of ourselves, if you listen to all the "experts", then all Liverpool have to do is turn up to win 5 nil, and even their players have been mouthing off all week about the lesson we will be taught tomorrow. I hope that United can do their talking on the pitch. Courage, aggression skill. Come on you need a.

I find Owen Hargreaves is the one that has something against Utd to, he seems to be all for City nowadays eventhough he was there not long.

Some people just like sticking the boot in when they think you're on the way down. You got to look to players like Irwin, Mcclair and Beckham who could of really stuck the boot in all honesty.
As for these so called "experts" and their "predictions". They didn't come to much last weekend, when we were there for the taking, apparently. They'd be better off at home, playing with their geometry sets and felt tips, drawing lovely triangles for everyone.

Nomid - I'm delighted how we played last week and hope the corner has been turned, but the performance of the team this season (and recent seasons) has been awful for Man Utd. Past players will know they would have been shipped out in a heart beat during their day if they played how most of our players have played, so I can understand why they seem to have an axe to grind. The standards are slipping, our expectations are decreasing and that isn't nice to see if you have given your everything to a club (in most cases).

Also - They would kind of look blinkered if they were saying positive things about us, you hardly want to be tagged as biased if you want a job in the media!

We are a shadow of the team we were during their days, I would be even more annoyed if I had seen all my hard work building the team crumble is the manner it has. Bitter pill, but it needs taking.

FZZ - Hargreaves has an axe to grind as he wasn't happy how he was treated - just another taker! For a guy permanently on the sick he has done pretty well for himself, I don't even count him as an ex-player for us!

21 Mar 2015 15:44:07
Come on Beast.Biased? Carragher, Redknapp? Don't get me started on the prancer dancer Robot Savage. All incredibly biased. In this country, the media nabobs kick harder the faster you're falling.Yes, we're in decline, at the moment. But football's like that. One minute you're up, the next, you're down.
You post some really good stuff Beast, but we had an excellent performance against a team in top form last weekend .We play another one tomorrow, let's accentuate the positive. I know you want to really.

TBL - Definitely mate, I'm just explaining why former players imo are not exactly eager to back the current situation in it's entirety, both from a standards and future career point of view.

The media is very fickle, I just don't read too much into what any of the Scousers say. Our ex-players (most) are talking sense in my view, they are primarily hired because of who they have played for, so as we are going through a rough time they would be foolish to contradict what almost every neutral football fan thinks of us at the minute, many people like seeing a king knocked off their throne.

We Utd fans all know we will be back, the general media and neutrals are just relishing things at the minute. Let them have their moment (it's kind of justified compared to the standards we have set earlier), it will taste better when we turn it around and watching them all squirm. I don't think it will happen under this gaffer, but if we play like we did last week then I would love to be wrong as it was rejuvenating.

I agree to an extent, players like Scholes its fair enough, but savage got sold as he wasn't good enough and never come to terms with that and knocks us every chance. Ince was sold as he thought he was Charlie big potatoes and since has an issue. Owens just trying to suck up to the scouse fans after all the abuse he got for joining us.

The most biased in the media are the likes of redknapp, souness, Niall Quinn and Tyler.

21 Mar 2015 16:52:13
Well said Beast mate, keep posting and keep believing.

21 Mar 2015 17:19:40
I just don't get when Man Utd are the side playing well, Liverpool will make it hard for them with the size of game etc but they never say it the other way round. Hopefully we silence them tomorrow on the pitch I for one think we are more than capable of doing so and not going to write us off as quick as the so called EXperts do.

21 Mar 2015 17:24:18
TBL, the club has been Irwin's and McClair's meal ticket. Expecting constructive criticism from either of them is dreaming. Beckham wouldn't say anything bad about anybody, for fear of someone thinking bad of him.

21 Mar 2015 18:25:33
A bit harsh Noucamp, I was trying to make a point about some ex players booting the dog when it's down, so to speak, Hargreaves, Savage were just examples. I didn't expect constructive criticism, it's just refreshing to see some ex players showing a bit of restraint. I can think of a lot more players and people who've used United as a meal ticket than Irwin and Mcclair.I think Beckham genuinely loves the club and it's fans.

21 Mar 2015 20:26:12
Those working in the media, who've left the club under a cloud, or with a bit of an axe to grind, are never going to give us a favourable mention.

'Meal ticket' maybe wasn't the best way to put it, because I've the utmost respect for Irwin and Choccy as club servants. But the club has given them a good living, and treated them well. Why bite the hand that feeds?

Ince was always a pain in the ar$e. See he's at it again with his son and the England set-up.

21 Mar 2015 22:40:59
Good points guys. But it still rankles how Ince savage Hargreaves never say a good word about us. Fine to criticise when we've had a bad game but to always knock us is ridiculous.
We've only lost twice against the clubs in top 6, so we must be doing something right! !

Noucamp99, Nomid, good posts gents, I agree, that trio of Ince, Hargreaves and Savage seem to really enjoy it when United have a bad game. Ince was always a big time Charlie and one of the biggest whingers to have ever played the game.I can't listen to 5 Live when Savage and Green are on together. I'm just a massive fan of both Irwin and McClair. Top professionals in my opinion. Hoping that today, certain pundits have to eat their words. Cantona put it beautifully, "When the seagulls follow the trawler, its because they think sardines will be thrown in the sea". Genius.
