Half Time - Got to say a lovely goal, great build up and superb finish.

However - Our "Ky" problem is that when faced with two options, we always go for the easy pass, if faced with only one option the ball invariably gets given away. We are too safe and we are far too sloppy when we can't be safe. Rooney & ADM literally struggle to pass the ball more than 5 yards.

McNair just isn't a RB for this system, he checks back too much because of the lack of options and it goes back to square one. I like him but he needs a winger because he isn't technical enough. We lack width, but most importantly we lack confidence to try the difficult ball which will open up Swansea, probably justified as these World Class players really struggle to make a pass if it isn't backwards or side-side.

Not awful, but pointless possession, and not really doing much again. That goal shows how easy we can break teams down if we play at pace and play quick football.

another 3 points lost as the season closes in. Will they really waste more money with bent nose after what he's failed to do this year. 150 million pound will not touch the sides to get this mess in shape

O look its Mr I only post after we lose

I can't believe that game. We dominate the ball, create next to nothing and has it really come to the old "Hit the Big Man" as our permanent tactic?

Did their keeper make a save again?

I don't agree with a number of observations here.

First of all Rooney had an excellent first half with countless great touches. Secondly we made oodles of space down the left, but unfortunately ADM was woeful. Not one decent cross. RVP too, once again, adds nothing to the team.

Overall it's a game we deserved to lose simply because our defence was poor and two of our overpaid stars failed to deliver. When LVG drops RVP we may stand a chance, while we play with him as one of two forwards, we will continue to struggle.

With Young and Valencia starting to fit in as wing backs, coupled with the fragility of our centre backs, I think we are more likely to qualify for Europe playing 3 at the back.

64% possession and only 3 shots on target probably best describes the afternoon, there are still major issues to solve, ADM and RVP went missing today, defending was poor, especially from corners, maybe LVG should stick with Smalling and Rojo at the back, but on the plus side I thought Young and Herrera were excellent and we should really have punished Swansea with the amount of possession we had at the beginning of the second half. let's hope its not our away form costs us a place in the Champions League.

I for one wouldn't mind Kloop a the end of the year if Van Gaal leaves like Ed has mentioned at leas the plays good fast attacking football

21 Feb 2015 17:14:17
That's what it has come to, Valencia is not a rb either.adm is not doing it and we don't have one decent cb in the club.

21 Feb 2015 17:15:37
We need to go back to playing three three CB's. I would rather win playing like crap than try to give in to the fans demands to play attacking football and get beat like that. I feel sick.

Only winning 50% of league games this season have to be so happy that apart from the big 2 the rest of the leg ore as poor as us albeit having not spent £150 million. They're can't be that many top Dutch managers yet we still manage to get the wrong one I worry that our manager farce is going to resemble the goal keeping fiasco when Pete went.

Rooney, ADM & RVP were very poor. We didn't deserve to lose Shawthing imo, but we didn't do much to win.

We just had a taste of our own medicine, luck runs out. Top 4 looking harder and harder to achieve.

Subbing Shaw was a disgrace, just so we could get more crosses to Fellaini - more strange decisions and this time we didn't do anything near enough to come back and salvage a point.

So much for this stupid 1 in 19 trickster stat, which papered over more cracks than a quantitive easing strategy!
